In 1999, the world wolf population was estimated to be over 150,000. And since then they've just gotten better. So honestly I think there's not much of a chance that they'll go seriously endangered and in need of help again.

Though, you also have to take into account the fact that the number you listed is for world wolf population. There may be specific species out there that do, genuinely, need help.
