The thing is, people don't care what you look like when you cosplay. Most people on the convention/cosplay scene are just happy that there are so many people into it. They don't care the color of your skin or if your body matches the character you are cosplaying. People are people. I've cosplayed Martians before. I'm definitely not a Martian. Personally though, I do like to look as much like the character as possible so I tend to pick characters I look like/can easily make myself look life. If you're really concerned with not looking like Sasha, you could always go for a character with darker skin like Ymir. I totally understand loving Sasha and wanting to cosplay her though. If I were you, I'd watch some videos of cosplayers doing their makeup to get some ideas. Typically when I do cosplay makeup, I use cryolan aquacolor for my face and neck and PAX mixed with acrylic paint for my hands. You can set it with baby powder or ben nye setting spray and it should last you all day. I also know that Ben Nye makes a lot of skin altering makeup so I'd look into that. If you want something cheaper and less drastic, Manic Panic makes a product (I think it's called White Out?) that you can use straight or mix with any liquid foundation to lighten it. So just add it to your makeup and it should lighten your skin without diluting your makeup. I hope this helps. Happy cosplaying!
