Ooh this will be intresting, I just got my braces of a month ago and now I am dealing with the retainers afeter them. But something really annoyed me about the though.
This happened a week before i was supposed to get my braces off:
Me and my friend, lets call her N, who also has braces and her little group who i'm sort of 'so so' with but thought that they were my friends at the time were just talking and I said about me getting my braces off soon.
They all suddenly crowded round N and asked what she missed most eating with her braces and she listed sweets and they all joined this circle promising that they would get her all this stuff when she isn't even getting her off for a good year at least. I was just stood there feeling lonely because no one ven cared that i'd been through the pain for at least a year and a half and no wanted to get me anything at all. I was going to throw a party but i was to down after what happened a few days after.
I was due to get my braces off and we went to the orthodontists all excited, but i was a bit scared because i heard all these horror stories about brace stains and i was so worried what the orthadontist would say if she saw some under my braces. Then when she had a look in my mouth she found a gap in my front of my teeth, why was it there? Because a peice of my brace had fallen off a few weeks ago but this was really near christmas and the orthodontists were closed and we just forgot about it when it reopened and thought it was nothing. Anyway I had to wait another six weeks to get my braces off and now i do and luckily there was no brace stain, but my teeth are so straight they look so weird in my mouth.
I remeber how painful my braces were and they caused me a lot of bother, especially elastic hooks, those were painful. They dug into my mouth and gums and i constantly had scars in my mouth from them and they were so painful!!! But they've all healed now and they were all so worth it.
