SOMEONE WITH HORSE EXPERIENCE PLEASE

I have a large portion of pasture I can no longer put my horses on, and am looking into turning it into an arena. Its kind of prairie-ish, and damp most of the time. Is there any way i can make that part into a safe arena without having to dig the dirt up and pour sand into it? I break colts and train for barrels. Thanks!

If possible you could pour a concrete base and make an indoor arena. You could then make a sandy interior to the arena. I am not sure if that is would be in your budget thought.

If you first burn it, then till it for a few seasons, you could put a fence around it and call it an arena. Just make sure you remove all of the large rocks first, especially if you plan on breaking horses.
