When people forget that most forums have this thing I call "echo". I've witnessed it on pro boards, I've seen it on someone's scrap built forum, and I doubt CS is any different. Heck, FACEBOOK does it. I'm no programmer, not by any stretch of the imagination, so I get irritated that even I can tell these echoes and other people don't.
The echoes are simply the site registering someone as "online" when they are really not because they navigated away from the page. It can take 5-10 minutes, a feature I'm thinking was put in place so someone looking at a link or typing a reply wouldn't appear as "offline". Downside is, they could've been offline for 5-10 minutes when you poked them for a trade (the site deceiving you into thinking they are online), then that sudden log off that you got enraged about? The site finally realized the person was not online.
This makes me upset for the people who are getting yelled at for "logging off after I sent you a trade" (myself being ONE OF THEM) when we were offline before you even sent it! It was that blasted echo! (Not to mention that danged time I got like fifteen Pms on another forum ("y did u log off after I sent u a pm??") because of that stupid echo.
It should just read "people who were active in the last x minutes".

Reason: Look, a shooting star! Make a wish. Wait, why is it getting bigger.
