If you go just by rarity yes, but if date matters then it would be slightly unfair since the one is three years older than the other.

It's more than "slightly unfair," to be honest, but yes, you should use the thread mental racat linked to, both because that is where questions about trade fairness belong and because there is a somewhat smaller chance of getting bad advice such as you got here.
