I'm not particularly big on the concept of aliens in the 'traditional' sense (aka coming to Earth, abducting humans etc - I think it's a fairly arrogant assumption for humans to make) but I definitely don't believe we're the only living things in creation.

Most of the alien abduction cases I've heard could very well be explained through mental disorders and/or extremely strong beliefs in that direction - I've yet to see any that legitimately made me consider that it might be true.

Unfortunately I'm also not sure what the Blue Planet Project is, but I'd love to find out B)

One thing that does intrigue me is the concept of 'Shadow People' - have you heard of them?

I understand your views but i personally don't think that it a mental disorder( but it is possible) i do not think this because there are millions of abdutees out there and some have 'Alien implants' that where removed by doctors(physical evidence). However i have not heard of the 'Shadow people' maybe you can elaborate?. The blue planet project is a book that was written by a scientist who worked for the government on ufo's and alien related things. it shows his drawing and notes about what he saw and did.

I believe in aliens although I've never seen one. However, a few years ago I did see a UFO.

I've heard a lot of cases of people being abducted by aliens and I do not believe people are lying or that they have a mental disorder. Some people do have implants and I even have a DVD about aliens that shows someone getting an implant removed. You can see the implant.

I've never heard of the Blue Plant project.

And shadow people are some type of spirit. They aren't ghosts as ghosts are spirits who were once people. Shadow people are something else and honestly a bit creepy. Sometimes they can be seen at known haunted areas. I've seen a few myself while ghost hunting.

ooh, i've been looking into this stuff recently -
i can't say i believe any of the stories i've heard so far, so i can't say i think the planet is about to be overrun by aliens, but it's actually a nice thought - i hate the idea that we're completely alone out here, although since any other inhabited planets would be very far away i don't think we'll be meeting any time soon unless they are far more advanced than us. i've noticed one recurring theme which affects not only this topic but basically every other paranormal topic - ghosts, the idea of other dimensions (some of the stories are really interesting, look it up) things like that - they're all attributed to schizophrenia. about 98% of what i've read, people have shot them down with "get treatment for schizophrenia"
this worries me, as quite a few governments have at one time or another looked into these sort of things (not a conspiracy theory, most are quite open about it) i suppose they're only human too and suffer from the same delusions at everybody else, but the idea that anything remotely strange is a mental disorder may prevent the truth, if there is any, from coming through - preventing advance and discovery. i can't say i've seen any definite proof or anything that makes me think it is, but i'd like this stuff to be real, if only to make life a bit more interesting.

[size=85]I'm big on alternate dimensions and parallel universes, so it's not a far stretch to believe there could be some 'leaking' from one verse to another.

i've been doing some research into this (i have too much free time) too, and i recently discovered a story of a women who claims she woke up one day to find her boyfriend missing with no record of him existing, her being married to an old partner she thought she broke up with, no record of her sister having a shoulder operation which she remembers her having, her office being in a different place, stuff like that. she is currently still married to the man who claims he has been married to her for a year but she can't remember certain things about him, and knows other things he never told her, plus other memories of things that never happened and things about other people that she really couldn't know unless they told her - i'm not saying this is true but psychologists and counselors have basically said she's completely sane and there isn't really any mental condition that would cause somebody to gain knowledge of things they haven't been told. of course, she could be making it up, but i found it interesting aha

Shadow people, on the other hand, are terrifying. I'm not sure I believe in them but they genuinely do scare me, and as a kid I used to play games with a friend that involved 'the shadows' (before I knew anything about Shadow people) that portrayed them almost exactly the way the folklore etc suggests. For anyone interested, David Wong wrote a book (John Dies At The End) that plays heavily on Shadow People.

What are they? I've always thought of shadow people as a ghost/paranormal thing - i'd be interested in hearing more since i'm reluctant to google them in the dark at this time of night Cx

The woman you mentioned - her story actually sounds remarkably similar to reports of people that claim to have encountered Shadow people. It's been a long time since I read up on this so my info might be a little off - most of it is based around a forum that a friend linked to that had a huge thread full of stories about Shadow people etc - but I can give it a go.

Basically, 'Shadow people' seem to alter the past/present/future. The reason they're called shadow people is (I think) because people that claim to have seen them describe them as shadowy figures, but anyway. I'm not sure how to describe this so it might be a bit confusing, but I'll try my best.
They can basically pluck out parts of reality and change it, without anyone noticing - people's memories change to fit the new reality and they have no idea anything different ever existed.
There was an example on the forum I mentioned where people could remember Christian Bale being cast as Neo in the Matrix - including one of my friends, a huge Christian Bale fan who swears she'd have remembered if he hadn't been cast - and were really alarmed when it came out and Keanu Reeves was in it. Stuff like that - there's been reports too of stuff like people remembering America having a black president decades ago, but now it seems to have never happened. It's not just events, either - Shadow people seem to be able to pluck people out of existence too, things like that.

If I can dig up the forum I mentioned, I'll definitely throw in a link, because if nothing else it's a really interesting read. <3

I've only heard of them as black spirity things that don't really do anything just hover around so this is cool
