I'm someone from public school, and I don't know anyone (irl) that homeschools, so it's interesting to see what all of you say! :3
I do agree that public school may be a bit stressful, with some mean people and stuff. I'm not really bothered by bullies unless they threaten me or something, which had never happened to me. There's a lot of competitiveness in the class, and for like every single test at least one person is going around asking about what others got.
Some people homeschool for vastly different reasons. I felt like I was being belittled by my teachers, and the stress of looking smart and brave for my friends almost broke me. I was in a bad head-space and I couldn't take public school again, (I switch between homeschool and public school) I also don't agree with really anything my school system does. I could get into a heated debate about this stuff. But I'd prefer not to.
Most home schoolers switch to home schooling for the pace. One can go slower or much faster with the yearly deadlines. It can also make it easier to get into college faster, and frees up your time severely.
