this popular rule about keeping genders even.
hm. why?
the only possible reason i can think of is that the owners might be homophobic and trying to force people to have an even number to avoid and "excuse" for homo roleplay... which also assumes that absolutely everyone joining is only interested in romance and not the plot at all, which you really can't say for sure in a public, indiscriminately accepting roleplay.
granted i am pretty jaded. so maybe the biggotry viewpoint is sort of invalid, just me assuming things again and making an ass of myself. that in mind though i still hate that stupid rule. i hate how desperately people separate genders. i hate how your gender and its stereotypes are the first damned thing anyone thinks of you. i hate how we have to think of anyone as different at all. like some people are less human than others because of whatever's in their pants and how well they block out any emotions that don't accent it well enough. little girls are encouraged to let themselves be hurt and tossed in a corner even when they just don't want to care and little boys are raised thinking that if they cry at all it means they're too weak and useless to grow into a man. because wow it's just impossible that human means the same thing from one sex to the next. so lets make our entire society and ideals revolve around whatever's in our respective pants. good idea? sure why not let's act like its the entire basis of character.
i just.
i dang hate it.
i hang around on neutral sites to avoid this crap. next thing i see is little kids trying to replicate it here.
i'm going to kill something.
