I can't stand loud anything. :(
I will try to leave if something is too loud because it makes me really uncomfortable. This also makes it a bit socially unacceptable as I've never been to a concert, can't stand fireworks or construction equipment, loud crowds etc.
I will get upset if a room is too noisy (radio, TV etc) and I don't listen to music in the car while I drive.
It kind of sucks sometimes to be that person that's always asking to turn the volume down and I feel like a stick in the mud, a boring person. There are some days where I wish I had a different tic like my Dad's sensitivity to what he sees instead of this thing where I'm sensitive to what I hear.

    I get what you mean. :U I always kind of angrily stare at somebody (usually my mom) who's eating loud or making loud mouth noises and they are kind of off put by it. I feel really rude when I ask them to chew/drink quieter or to clear their throats. I feel like it embarrasses them. ._.;
    I don't like any mouth noise. Chewing, slurping, crunching, smacking, raspy or gravelly voices, hiccups, coughing, burping, etc. I also have visual triggers like playing with hair and absently tapping feet.
    My mom usually says to get over it which makes me sad and discouraged.

I've been waiting for someone to make a thread on this! (I can't code so I didn't do it myself.)
There really needs to be more people aware of Misophonia.

oh i didn't even know this was a thing this explains a lot
i literally cannot stand any mouth/eating noises, scraping metal or whispering. i just get so uncomfortable listening to them; like, i'll tense up and get super angry. whispering makes me want to cry tbh.

    Yami, it definitely explains that then! xD I always told my mom that things like that irritated me almost to the point where I wanted to punch something. Then, one day I posted about it and someone told me to look into Misophonia. I sent the link to my mom in the attempt to explain it to her and she straight up told me to get over it.

oh some noises make me want to punch things as well {and i'm not a violent person} but oh no that's terrible D: it's not like you can just snap your fingers and be fine with something like this.

    I'm not a violent person either! But man, if you smack your lips I'll nearly shove my hand through a wall. xD And, yeah. My mom's attitude about it makes it impossible to come to her for advice about anything.

    hipster shibe, I want to say that I'm glad that you figured out what it was called but, it's not necessarily the happiest thing in the word to get irritated by simple sounds. xD But, yay! You put a name to it! I was so relieved when I got told that what I had was Misophonia. It was during early Summer when it got really bad. My uncle and cousins were here and just that week, I started becoming aware of the fact that I was getting abnormally irritated whenever I sat next to anyone eating. During dinner with my uncle and stuff, I was sitting in between my mom and him and my mom already eats horrendously loud {to me} so I was irritated by that but then, my uncle grabbed two more pieces of pizza and dear lord, every bite and chew was open-mouthed and sloppy. I made a post on Tumblr saying along the lines of 'I SWEAR IF HE EATS ONE MORE BITE I'M GOING TO SHOVE A FORK INTO MY HAND' and someone messaged me saying that because of all my aggravated posts, they thought I had Miso. So, I looked it up and yep, I definitely do have a severe case of it. Almost everything on that list is a trigger for me. :B

    Leg shaking. Oh my god. I got pissed just thinking about it. My dad does it waaaaaaayy too much.
