R A N T: When I'm making a roleplay, and you put "no posting yet" everywhere you can, and someone goes and posts. It's happened to me before.

Now that is what I call a nice looking RP...Very nice...

RANT: When I usually post and no one ever does. Then when I DONT want to post because Im mega tired and have been up since 5AM painting a house and helping at church and people get ticked off at me. Seriously, wth? That makes me so mad because I get betched at when I don't post -3-

Jesus people, that was a realistic wolf roleplay, and the owner specifically said that the wolves cannot smile, but no. You go and pressure her in to letting your characters smile.

I didn't even know what to say to that -- they even read the rules and it said no smiling. ;-;
(because honestly, I don't believe that the person really suffers from memory loss.)

I hate it when I join an RP, and there are gary/mary-sues. I joined an RP and the person's wolf NEVER feels pain, doesn't need to rest to heal, hardly gets hurt, and teams up all their characters to hate on some inexperienced RPer's character(Not to mention they slander them in OOC)

I hate it when that happens... :] So for my own little bit of jerkish fun I will literally tell someone like that off and then deliberatly kill their char over and over o3o Ive done it before. In my own RP... Then I just plain kicked the person from the RP ;D I got a Ranted message :] Replied: Thanks baby! Love you bunches too, now have a miserable day ;P

If a wolf smiles, they're baring their teeth and you're setting yourself up to get attacked.
So yeah, go ahead and smile. Just have your wolf attack anyone who smiles at them, watch their reactions. =D

Speaking of which, I'm trying to make a realistic wolf RP, but everytime i got to edit it I find more things to add. I don't want a massive text wall, I just want to practice not having them "speak." I thought it would be quick, fun, practice.
Now I'm putting together a whole post on wolf behavior. =P

Actually, canids do smile - wild canids usually don't bare the teeth in a human-like smile the way some dogs will (although apparently some wolves will do it as a sign of submission when approaching a dominant wolf), but they do an open-mouthed smile with the mouth slightly more open than usual, the lips relaxed around the teeth and pulled back, creating a crinking at the corners of the mouth as a human does if they're smiling with an open mouth, and often a slight relaxed narrowing of the eyes and a slight raising or tossing of the head. Tongue may or may not be hanging out. It is distinct from the typical panting expression, and also from the fear-pant, which has tight lips and wide eyes combined with rapid panting. The smile is often paired with a dog laugh, which is a distinct emphatic panting sound that will induce other dogs to play just at the sound of it.

So if someone just says a wolf is 'smiling', that is well within normal wolf facial expressions. If they say that the wolf is smiling by baring its teeth in a big toothy grin... no. X3 Same for laughing - a wolf can laugh, but they won't be giving a 'big hearty laugh' or anything like that; it just sounds like panting.

Anyway, just my two cents. If the RP creator specifically said not to use the term 'smiling', then it is kind of rude to keep doing it though. 'Pant-smiled' just doesn't have the same flow to it though.

I've just declined my first person ever from entering my RP...but they still don;t get it. Just editing your form and reposting it and then double posting isn't going to make me change my mind. Urgh, I feel mean :(

XD Sure thing... Om...Fg... k. So. You know like you join an RP.. and then the person who made it NEVER starts. And they have this super long bio form they wanted filled out and all that good 'ol crud. Well =w= Then they go and get the RP deleted >3> seriously, sign it over to someone else but. DONT.DELETE.IT DX
