One of my friends on a different site always uses smilies in her rp posts, and it's gotten so annoying that I just stopped rping with her altogether. >.>;;

I've told my friend many times that prose looks less professional with cutesy smilies attached to them, but she keeps ignoring me completely. I gave up on her. xD

Oh you don't have to prove any points to me. The only time I RP animals is
when I RP magical, intelligent creatures that will rival human IQ and could probably
beat any humanoid in chess.

I'm just saying that laying the 'THIS IS ALL WRONG' stamp on the people who don't RP
wolves/animals in general exactly like an animal acts, is a little...well, harsh. Seeing as
people RP what they find interesting, and if they like animals with humanlike traits...
Well, that's their thing.

I dunno about you, but I'd fall asleep halfway through writing a post about a totally natural
wolf - out of its point of view. Because it would be super monotone and include no thoughts.
It would be a shallow post, and I would quickly run out of things to do, other than 'and he sniffed
the ground for any other suspicious scents'.
Wolf RPs, that only include wolves, just generally include thoughts, and emotions and dramallamas
to keep the game interesting.

It is another thing if you have one animal and one human in a game - that way you can bounce
the actions of the animal off of the human's thoughts, emotions and actions. But that's another story.

Lol, I think you're taking this the wrong way. I was talking about facial expressions alone. Of course, to make things interesting, one must include thoughts and such, but facial expressions aren't necessary. The Warriors series is a very good example of this-- the author has never said anything about a cat smiling/frowning/etc. I think it's actually very admirable.

Dogs/Wolves can smile though :3
I used to be in love with the Julies Wolf Pack series.
When she first meets the wolves, the Alpha, Armaroq, smiles at her and she thinks he's growling.

:3 I always give my dogs some features on their faces.. adds a bit of character.
A toothy grin, or maybe a bit of a brow furrow...
but mostly I just do what normal dogs do... Like Diabolic had mentioned with the ears and tail.

Also, I hate it that I want to do a Hunger Games roleplay, but I'm not sure how it would work out/how things would be set up and things like that. :c

I'm sorry, but whenever I think of smiling dogs I just see that one commercial that advertises a healthy dog bone for cleaner teeth. It just has a bunch of creepy pictures that honestly gives me nightmares. xD

I mean, I won't force my opinion down your throat but my canine characters never use facial expressions, lirl. It just gives me a very disturbing image...once again relating back to that commercial. Go for it if you really like it, though, no one's stopping you. x3
