Same here. I believe in God and all of that, but I don't believe in the sacrificing and reincarnation or anything like that. I'm not that religious and I've never actually read the Bible, though. XD I've read the family Bible(a simpler, kid-friendly version).

My teacher and people passing things out always skip me. I've had to wait days for things like permission slips or flyers when they were passed out while I was in class.

I can't imagine myself driving. I've still got some more years until I'm old enough, but after seeing all of these idiots on the road I'm scared to drive ._.

And then when I ask about why we have to learn it I get the teacher telling my dad he thinks I'm disrupting class and trying to waste time when he even says its a good question.

I'm fine with most of Science class, but I really hate it when they shove that 'big bang theory' down our throats. I don't care what our AKS is, I don't want or need to learn about that.

My french teacher gave me 20 points off of a paper because it was late. It was not late. I had it in on time. She told me to re do it because it was 'messy'. So now instead of a 95 on it I got a 75.

The definition of theory:
A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.
In other words, while there is a possibility that it's inaccurate in some manner, it's the best explanation we have to work with at the time, it holds true most or all of the time, it is demonstrable and testable, and it not only explains but predicts things that happen with reasonable accuracy. People outside of the scientific field always get this one wrong and think the word 'theory' in the scientific sense (e.g. theory of gravity, theories of physics, theories of mathematics, etc) means the same as 'theory' in the common sense, which is "an assumption based on limited information or knowledge; a conjecture." Scientific theories are higher than facts - they're the underlying principles behind the facts. It's a fact that an apple will always fall downward if released in the air. The theory shows that it isn't actually falling but being pulled, that everything is always being pulled in the same manner, that the strength of the pull is measurable and calculable for all things, and that objects will never 'fall' upward or sideways, only down. Learning these things isn't important if you don't intend to get any form of higher education, but if you want to go on to any university, you have to know at least the basics, and they do also pop up in unexpected places in practical life - for example, theories of physics play major roles in music, and dogs do calculus in their heads while fetching a tennis ball or frisbee. Mostly though, when you learn about those things it gives you the ability to think and reason things out instead of just shrugging and saying "I dunno; who cares?" when someone asks why something is. If nothing else, I've found it's a great way to get little kids to stop asking "Why? Why? Why?!" about everything when you can explain it in full detail so there are no more questions left for them to ask about it. XD

A insignificant thing that is annoying me right now?
My 'friend' who has gone off in a hissy huff because I tie-tied her. ._.
I try to talk to her on msn and all she does is copy my font, smilies (non-animated, just ones I make from letters and such), and say "o ritee" because she knows it peeves me. Furthermore, she has the nerve to say "I'm not huffing with you *hmph*"
Really? This is how shallow people have become after being subjected to chatspeak IRL and arrogance... Ugh.
Sorry dude/ettes, just had to get that out of my system ._.

(P.S I updated my siggy :D)

It annoys me when someone drags the metal part of an eraser across a desk or table.

I'm fine with Science. Mainly because I can form /my/ beliefs around it. Maybe God smacked his or her hands together one day and created the universe? But it's translated as the Big Bang now? Who knows?

A lot of things in my religion I don't believe in, so I'm not a viable source on this sort of thing. X3

Though a new rant of mine, is when people are worried for your soul if you don't go to church. I may love my God, but I'm not waking up at the crack of dawn just to listen to stories and songs I've heard a hundred times.

My Spanish teacher called me a blond today e_o I told her I forgot my homework, and she told me to stop acting like a blond. Is it weird when the music that comes into your head matches your mood? Because the one part of In The End that says "One thing, I don't know why, it doesn't even matter how hard you try~" popped into my head. And then the course of I Will Not Bow came into my head, too o_O

This this this this this. I've been surrounded by people in science fields all my life, and for this reason I'm always dumbfounded when people say that science doesn't matter. It matters with understanding the world around you. It matters with picking out the right pesticides for your lawn, and choosing light bulbs, and cooking dinner, and being active in your community, with exercising and wiring and building, with fixing your car and powering your house and keeping people healthy, and all kinds of other things. Not to mention those classes are what are preparing some of the people in that elementary science class to go on years later and be the ones curing cancer and making medicine and discovering the mysteries of the universe. Science matters possibly more than any other subject. Math, science, history, and reading - those are your core classes, they are the things that matter in the real world.

My main annoyance as an atheist/quasi-pantheist is people who say their religion is loving and then come around and tell me I'm going to burn for all eternity. I love religious people, I think most religions are fascinating, but I don't appreciate being told I should suffer eternally just because I don't believe in some specific deity. Regardless of religion, my main belief is that, if there is an afterlife (which I don't personally believe there is) people should go to the nice place based on their actions, not based on their vows to any respective deity or even whether they chose to believe in any respective deity.

^ Without sounding like I'm beating a dead horse...
As someone who's been revising particle physics for the past 10 hours and who's life revolves around physics, I must agree with Comanche and Atwood. Although I know why people don't think science matters much, it upsets me a little to see science dismissed as an opinion. I know this is the rant thread and no one wants to hurt anyone though so it's all cool beans, But it does smart a little. And that's my rant :3 (That and I'm stressed out about the exam tomorrow =/)
