I tried to get my friend into daemons and she thought it was stupid. T_T I showed her the daemon website and she said "You actually believe in that junk?"
She's a over the top Christian and flipped out when she found out I was atheist. I just turned to her and went "Well, you believe in God." And she shut up. I hate it when people don't even give something a chance because they think it's stupid (I gave religion a chance and every time they taught stuff I started hating it more and more. And I believe in evolution).

It really bugs me to explain to people I'm not religious. >.< Especially in school. I had a tough life when I was younger so my parents never had time to explain who all the religious people were along with other things. Sometimes it just bugs me to talk about religion in school.

My parents just shoved me in catechism :< Stupid teachers made us memorize prays.
My dad's side of my family is overly religious. If they found out I was atheist they would shove religion down my throat.
And to top it off, my mom said I can't be atheist till I read the whole bible. -_- Why do I need to read the bible when I don't believe in God?!

It annoys me that whenever people in my school are talking about anything vaguely related to religion, someone goes: "OMG people this isn't appropriate there are Jews here!" (I'm Jewish). I mean, just because we're another religion doesn't mean you can't talk about it!

My friends do that but it was because one day they were talking about the holocaust.

The Times Square Bomber has been arrested and they released some details of what he's been saying/asking and he wanted to know why his bomb didn't go off.

And the news proceeds to state exactly what was wrong with the bomb and what should have been done instead.

Oh god, it's really times like these when I wish they'd think over what they put on there. I hope they realize how stupid it was to do that.

And I agree. As long as people are being polite about it you shouldn't have to completely stop all talk of religion. Religious discussions can be great if they're handled correctly.
On the other hand, I would ask people to stop if people are going off about how Christianity is the greatest religion in the word and how non-beleivers should go to hell. Then it's offensive, but otherwise it's not.

Both sides get angry, they both don't want to understand the other side, they just want to be right, then they both walk away all huffy under the guise of "I'M DONE WITH THE CONVERSATION" when really all they did was throw a grownup version of a temper tantrum and flounce.

I'm the most chillaxed Christian ever. Mock my religion to a reasonable degree, I don't care. Unless you get all imposing on me and insisting that your belief is right and I'm a moron, do whatever you want. Worship your ceiling fan for all I care, just don't pretend your beliefs are the only correct ones.

I agree with Wendigo. .__. Religion debates always end up all "I WAS JUST STATING MY OPINION SO GO STFU!" On both sides. I prefer to not ever talk about religion, because so many people end up shoving it down each other's throats.

In my school, people will be talking about whether they believe in God, or whether God is male or female, or little things like that, and they'll stop because of me. Whether you are Christian or Catholic or Jewish, you all worship the same god, just by a different name.

I sort of believe in God in this way: ^.^; "The Bible has many morals, and it makes sense, and I believe that. If there's something after death, great. If there's nothing, then, well, too bad, but what's the harm in believing there is?" I believe in God, but not necessarily about the afterlife/reincarnation. ^.^;

Even though she's your mother, she doesn't actually have the right to do that unless you're under 13. After 13 it's pretty much your decision what religion you want to follow. I think.. I'm just trying to remember what the teacher I worked for last year was saying to her students.

Another thing that annoys me, is I overheard some girl say "Germans are arrogant and full of themselves" today in Math. Why do people make generalizations over things they don't understand? Just because you met one German that was arrogant, doesn't mean every single one of us are.

I do not believe in God. But, as my family is Jewish, I must be too. At least until I'm an adult.
