When people mix up "loose" and "lose."

Like, they say, "I always loose at Monopoly." I see tons of people do stuff like that, sometimes people who have almost perfect grammar. o.o I don't understand it.

"Loose" means too big, or floppy, stuff like that. For example: "My bracelet was too loose, so it fell off my wrist."

But for the Monopoly quote, it should be: "I always lose at Monopoly."

So people! Take note! "Loose" and "Lose" are different! xD *waves arms crazily*

Also happens with 'to' and 'too'.

People will say, "Yeah, me to." Even though it should be too.

To mean it's for someone, like on birthday cards it may say 'To Sarah'. As 'Too Sarah' isn't correct, and I'd be surprise dif a lot of people even know 'too' is a word. x3

Hate to be passive aggressive here, but I get annoyed when folks gets all riled up when someone may have accidentally used the incorrect version of a word. It happens, you know? If it's coming from someone who's usually on the mark with grammar, chances are it just escaped their notice. I've seen people flip out over the loose vs lose thing on a bathroom wall (no joke), and seriously, it's not that big of a flippin' deal. It's an easy mistake to make.

Now, if someone's running around using l33tspeak, or never uses punctuation, that's a different matter entirely.
