Asking for advice on the internet is like asking a random friendly looking stranger on the street what to do.

Well, mostly everything on forums is posted for everyone to comment on and read and share their opinions. So, it makes a little more sense to ask for advice on a place where you know there are educated people? The whole point of a forum is a place where people may gather and talk about anything. Sometimes, people can't talk with people they know in real life. So where else DO you go? =/

People who make up entire fake webpages/DA accounts/FA etc. and put loads of "stolen" art of their fursona and their characters. usually foloewed with "-real creator- is such an idiot. She needs to go die in a hole," or something to that extent. And then people freak out and say how stupid the theif is, how it wasn't nice of them to insult you, and how amazingly awesome on undeserving the person is.
It drives me completely insane. They're usually so obvious when they happen, and the people themselves are usually the same people who say they're quitting CS five times a month.

if they lived in a way that is truly suffering, I doubt there would even be internet access anywhere near them.

Bingo. All that a lot of teenagers think about is themselves, but there are people in the world that truly do have problems... But, of course, that doesn't matter because *they* are the only ones that matter when they are complaining.

We've all known drama queens (and kings) like that. It's best to just ignore them, because if they don't get the attention they seek they will eventually go away to get it somewhere else.

You go to real people in real life that can help you with your real problems.

Asking simple questions and looking up information on WebMD is fine, but you're not going to know if you have a simple headache or a brain tumor unless you go to a real doctor. Get it?

One time I saw someone say something like this:

'Help me. I'm naked and homeless, living on the streets of Russia ((or something like that)) and I'm paying 21 dollars an hour for internet'


And I'm just like wth? I mean, why would you pay 21 dollars an hour to play a virtual game, when you are naked/homeless? Obvious lie XD

@Lady: True. I'm not speaking of health issues though. I'm speaking of ones where people ask for help with complicated things in their personal life. Such as, I'm in an abusive relationship, he said he would change, but etc etc, and I have no one else to talk to for different reasons. That's just one example. But things along those lines. I've been a member of a different forum for awhile and everyone is so nice and helpful there. And we don't just post petty problems. People have well thought out their problems before resorting to asking for advice.

My parents thank me everyday for not being a normal teenager XD
I've always found people like that obnoxious so every time I started to feel like that, I had to kick myself and go watch documentaries on third world countries, lol. That fixed it pretty quick

I used to tell them to get over themselves, but it's just too time and energy consuming to do when I know someone else is going to do the same thing right after i finish talking to them *eyeroll* it's just not worth it

I have plenty of problems with my health, but none of them are life-threatening, or really painful, so I'm happy

I have a problem with my hand which could jepodize my GCSE's. I cannot write for long otherwise my hand is in agony. I already missed 4 marks off of triple science, *and* I knew the answers to all the questions I missed
