Nah, as in a pretty design that they think is their fursona but doesn't really represent any aspect of them.
Yes I do like bright colours. And yes, I like some sparkly fursonas. But what I don't like is people having a random pretty design that doesn't represent them at all and call it a fursona. I'm sorry if I made you angry or something. Oh and by the way I like your avatar. :3

I don't mind if people like the Cheshire cat but way too many people on CS are changing there name to Cheshire, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, etc. I'm starting to wonder if they even know how the cat got it's name or why the Hatter is Mad. I tried to go by Cheshire a year ago on xat but no one called me it. x_x
I hate support stamps any way. <_< They're just plain old annoying. Stamps like I <3 Pokemon are fine but when I rped sonic people used to make there own and other peoples "pro" stamps. Some guy made a stamp for him and his gf that he doesn't know in rl -_-

I generally feel that people greatly over-mystify the whole fursona thing - it's not the be-all and end-all of you, an expression of every feature and quirk of your very soul culminating in a pleasing design wrapped around an animal, it's really just a character that stands in for you sometimes. My 'fursona's' markings have no meaning whatsoever other than that they're markings I like on dogs, and if I could be a dog, that's what I'd probably choose to look like. Add on a couple of objects that have importance to me and there you go - an animal design that I use to mean 'me', so when people see him they know "Oh, that's Atwood there". ^^ His design doesn't say much about me and was made in about ten minutes, but it suits me fine and I like it, and that's all that really matters to me. If some kid likes green and purple and feels their swirly green dog with purple patches suits them, that's fine by me. A little bright, maybe, but if they like it and feel it's what they want to use to represent themselves, not as a summary of their soul but just as a character that people can identify as signifying them, that's fine. The ones that start getting obnoxious are when people get too caught up in the whole 'your fursona must represent everything you are!' thing and try to literally put everything on the poor animal, resulting in a cluttered mess that isn't even distinguishable as an animal anymore because it's buried under so many accessories, patterns, scars, piercings, hair, wings, etc. As they say, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing; people who have no idea what a fursona is usually keep things fairly simple in making a design that means 'them', whereas people who have heard that fursonas should represent everything they are tend to go way overboard. o.O

While on the subject, one thing that really annoys me is the word 'fursona'. I despise it. >.< Some portmanteau words work fine, but that to me is not one of them. For whatever reason, to me the word 'fursona' feels like biting on tinfoil or picking up a long-dead rat. I like the concept it denotes, but why did it have to have such a horrible word to describe it?

Agreed. I don't know about everyone else, but where I live they don't even know the term "fursona" all people hear is "furry." And believe you me, people 'round these parts don't take too kindly to furries. (Then again, this area also doesn't like democrats or homosexuals. Bad *beats state with stick* bad conservative ideals. Bad.)

I'm pretty sure no one I've ever met knows what a fursona is. xD I didn't either until I started frequenting art sites five or so years ago. I wouldn't dare mention that word in real life because I know I'd just get weird looks from people, and even weirder ones if I bothered explaining what it meant. x.o

...I don't really like the word 'fursona,' either. I don't mind typing it, but I would never say it in real life, even if people at my school were more accepting. There are certain words I completely avoid using. In fact, one of my favorite things in the world is called something I haven't used since I was little because the word just seems so...I don't know...childish? Weird? >.>;;
