How can we prove that the owner has forgotten about the pet?

Yeah, I don't like it either, and wish they would go to the pound- but there lies a few problems. For all we know, the person adopting these pets may still visit, and it would be extremely rude to just take their pets and say "sorry, because you decided not to have an account, you can't keep these". The other thing would be that Nick and other moderators just wouldn't have the time nor desire to add all those pets to the game so others can have them- the link you gave is a prime example of how many are out there that would need to be added. That's just one user O_o!

Personally I'd be delighted if they were added but it isn't a very realistic thing.

Agree, I really couldn't agree more.

I've seen a lot of accountless pets of any kind and it is annoying to see all these julys without an account.
But just because they don't have an account dosen't mean they don't have an owner.
We can't see if they still visit them. So yes, I can't really say more that hasn't already been said.

I can see what you mean, but what about checking when the last pet was adopted? If they haven't adopted any pets in a year, do you think they really care about CS? And if they did care about CS, wouldn't they have joined? It just kind of confuses me, actually...

I know what you mean, but I've seen people who still adopt without an account..
I really can't see what we could do about the accountless pets other than leave them accountless...

If you looked for pets without an account under the name "Shez", you would find about 25 or so of them stretching back to December 9th up until around when I joined in March. I haven't gotten any new account-less pets but it doesn't mean I don't still visit them on occasion =/ As for a year of inactivity, that would put back everything to "pre-naming" days prior to July.. And if somehow that were to work, it doesn't solve the issue about adding them to the game. Nick shouldn't have to spend hours every night doing such a grueling task.

Honestly, if there were a logical way, I'd be all for it but I don't see any real solution...

I don't think it is quite that simple. People don't join for a variety of reasons, and even if they haven't adopted any of the new pets, it doesn't mean that they have forgotten about their old pets.

What's wrong with there being pets not on accounts? If you just want a cute pet to put in your signature on other forums, why go through all the bother of creating an account?
