A WHOLE Forum for Just for Ages 16+ - New Forum Idea Debate

There has been problems with cussing, blood, gore, and topics amongst older youth that just aren't appropriate for younger kids who may not understand or whose parents do not want their kids to understand.

Yet these things have become so common with the older ages that is has become hard or just downright inconvenient for us to not beable to access because there are younger kids around.

So...

I have came up with a good compromise to solve the teenage mind's creativity block and the welfare of our younger youth.
Age 16+ Roleplay Thread

~> Provides the ability to freely cuss and roleplay violent content.
~> Age locked. If you signed up with a year under 2001 (age 13+) you'll be let in.
~> Ages 13-17 could require parental permission, and 18+ can just come on in.
~> NO EXPLICIT SEXUAL SCENES STILL- This is unnacceptable anywhere.
~> Other Roleplay/Site rules apply.
~> Ideas still forming.

This is a topic to debate whether this is a good idea, I want to fighting, just discussing views, way to improve this idea, and things that should change.

Hmmm, interesting! You've got my vote. Although I think 13+ (with permission) would make it more even, and then if you're 18+ you can just pop in.

I completely support this idea. Completely. I like to rp and use a few swear words here and there, because that's what I feel like my characters would say. I also like rping a bit of gore here and there.

I do understand this would be a bit of work to put the new forum board into place, but I would appreciate it, and I'm sure plenty of others would as well.

I like the idea, but I know most kids just randomly selected a date for their birth. One of my friends did. I'm sure other younger kids did it, too. I agree with the idea, it just might need some modifications of some sort.

Many, many kids lie about theirs he when they sign up and also, chickensmoothie doesn't store any birthdays from users, so how would they know who over the age limit? (They'd do however store COPPA's birthdays)

Also, this is supposed to be a child friendly site that's friendly for everyone, and that's just gonna be thrown out the window and into the trashcan if this is allowed. They won't be able to restrict people from going in it, which could land CS (or at least the users involved) in trouble if people underage are role playing in a place that's 16+.

And if this was implemented, people who are 18+ could start saying that they want their own forum too. Which would bring up more problems, like people under 18 could start role playing in it because they lied about their age, and CS doesn't store birthdays anyway except for COPPA's. also, this would mean that they could be allowed to roleplay explicit scenes (e.g sexual, violence), because their over 18, right? Because they're adults. They can do anything they want as long as its legal. But if someone under age started role playing in it, CS and the person(s) role playing with them could get in a lot of trouble.

While the 18+ paragraph was just a scenario of what could happen, I still don't support this suggestion. It's unfair to other users and everyone should be able to access user forum boards, because this is a child friendly site.

Buts that's just my opinion.

It would be good, but the problem is that people can easily lie about their year of birth, and also, in the UK, where I'm from, a date of birth isn't required when you register ^^ So that means that under-age children from countries outside the US could still view the forum.
