Iphone 5s or Samsung Galaxy S5??

For snapchat, the s5 might be better, depending if you like to type a lot of words in (creating more space for the words) but personal, im an iphone fan. Thats probably because I have a lot of songs and apps purchased. Though the galaxys screens (collectively) and very hard to break unlike an iphone.

Depending on if youre clumsy like me and sometimes forget your case or something, galaxy is your best bet. Also the battery is amazing. My phone is still going good and I use my phone all the time, for everything. Im usually on it throughout the school day, once I get up, before I go to bed. You name, im always on it. The charge holds for quite a while.
Though if you like to play games with your friends and stuff, iphone is better because of game center.

Both phones are good, it just depends on what your uses for it are.

Also, iphone, I believe, only covers half of a cost to get a new phone. While galaxy will give you a new one with no charge.

Yes and no. I dont drop my phone as much, doesnt slip often. It feels normal to me now and it very convenient when I need type faster, or scroll through emails. Plus I rarely lose my phone with it being so big. If you do get it, cover your bases still. It is a smartphone and it can still crack at any point. Its just harder to break. I still have a case and screen protector on mine.

I'm the only one in my family having an iPhone, but I just think that these phones are great. They are way prettier than other phones, but also more expensive. If you don't want to spend so much money on a phone, you might want to take a look at Samsung phones, not iPhones. But if you don't care about the price, take a look at an iPhone 5s at a shop, you can try it out there and see how it works etc.
I always hear my parents complaining about the telephone function of Samsung phones, but they might have improved during the years. c:
