Digital Art/Graphics Tablets

Hello, thank you for taking the time to check this out. I am interested in getting a drawing tablet, but I do not know everything about them. I would like to hear about all different types, pros/cons, opinions, any experiences with, or tips. The list can go on so feel free to talk about anything about them here. I would really love to read some user feedback, from anyone who works on one or has used one in the past. I want to have more information from the artists before I decide if this would be a worthwhile investment so I chose to put this topic out there with my intention of reading anything you people have to say about them, from single sentences, to paragraphs. All would be appreciated.

I have Wacom Bamboo tablets, which I love.
Literally like working traditionally, and totally worth the buy. You'd need to take a very small amount of time to get used to it, as it is weird at first, but you get so used to it that you eventually use it as a mouse anyway for stuff other than art.

I have all the extras turned off as they were annoying me, so mine is literally set up as a piece of paper and pen. Mine is a Bamboo Fun wireless, so as long as it is charged, you have no cable annoying you. You can also still use it when it's charging.

You have to buy the wireless part separately but also well worth it.

You can set the tablet and button on the pen to all sorts of extras that come with it, so press a button and you automatically bring up;
Bamboo Dock/settings
There is a right click option...

I can't actually remember them all as I haven't had them set up for so long now, but there are a lot of extras. There is also finger touch.

The touch and the button on the pen, I'd highly suggest turning off, but if you got them you might find that they don't annoy you, and you might find them useful.

There are newer ones out though so everything I said might be wrong now, but they might also still roughly be the same. I've had mine for a while now.

Thank you for taking the time to post this! It was very useful. I was hoping it would work like traditional art, because I'm best at it that way. I will definitely look into the Wacom tablets.
