I'm not going to hold this in anymore.
~~~
Composition project for band. It's our final, pretty big deal.
You, my partner, are supposed to work with me.
We came up with two tunes: Mine, and yours.
We're debating which tune to use.
I thought we could go around the room and play little excerpts of our pieces, and see who likes which one.
What did you do?
"Oh, I think we should use mine, since you were absent for two days and I got more done."
Granted, you said that nicely, but you only had three more measures than I wrote.
Then, we're working on the "B" part, and we're stuck on this one bit.
Why?
Because you're doing your science homework, and your math project, and dropping your pencil down your trumpet, while I'm trying to figure out what to write.
And every single flipping thing I think of gets the exact same flipping response.
"Mmm... No, it's not the same style."
WHAT IS THE FREAKING STYLE.
I AM DOING THE SAME STYLE.
YOU'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING.
YOU'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW MY IDEAS GO "TOO HIGH" OR AREN'T THE SAME STYLE (EXPLANATION, PLEASE?) AND WE'RE GETTING FREAKING NOWHERE.
WE STILL HAVE TO COME UP WITH A FLIPPING HARMONY, SO JUST TRY TO AGREE ON SOMETHING AND LET'S JUST FINISH.
OKAY?
(Ugh, sorry for the caps, but they helped to convey my immense frustration.
*screams internally*)
