Don't go pouring acid on your eyelashes.

Vaseline is actually not acid, and is harmless. It can actually protect these little guys.

It's basically petroleum jelly and it was discovered as the gunk on an oil rig. (It is obviously now a lot cleaner.)
It's a good rememdey for ticks on your pets, just bung Vaseline into its breathing holes and volia! One dead tick!

My friend and I discovered that if you're dealing with a tricky lid (perhaps on a jar of pickles, or salsa in our case), it will open easier and faster if you heat the rim of the lid with fire! (Please use a lighter. xD)

Not sure if that's been discovered, but we sure learned from experience!
