On average, 100 people choke to death on ballpoint pens every year.

On the subject of DNA (above) human DNA and the DNA of bannanas are exactly 50% the same. We are all half-bannanas.

The daddy long legs is actually very venomous, more so than any other spider. However, it isn't dangerous to humans because it's mouth (or is it the fangs) are too small to bite a human.
A daddy long legs is an matchbox, but not a spider.

Actually, there are a variety of things referred to as "daddy long legs". First is the harvestman, which is not a spider, and does not have venom glands nor fangs. Next is the crane fly, which is also not even a spider. And lastly is Pholcid house spider, which is most likely what this myth is about.

As it stands, there have been no tests on the lethality of pholcid venom, either on humans or lab animals. However, pholcids do have short fangs, but there are other species of spider that also have short fangs and have no issue puncturing human skin (for instance, the brown recluse spider). Also, in 2004 the Mythbusters deliberately allowed themselves to be bit by Pholcid spiders and suffered no ill effects.

tl;dr - Daddy long legs do have venom and can puncture human skin, though their venom is not dangerous to humans.

Okay guys, time for Harry Potter Trivia Moment(s).

- J.K. Rowling stated that "Voldemort" is actually supposed to be pronounced without the "t".
- There have been 6 different actors who play Voldemort in the movies.
- Dumbledore is an old English word meaning "bumblebee". (Didn't you always suspect as much?)
- The Hogwarts motto, "Draco domiens nunquam titillandus" is Latin for "Never tickle a sleeping dragon".
- Hary and J. K. Rowling both have their birthdays on July 31st.
- J. K. Rowling is the first author to become a billionaire off her writing.
- The actor who played Moaning Myrtle was 37 years old.
- Rowling's middle name does not actually start with K. She used her grandmother's name.
- Tom Felton auditioned for Harry and Ron, but wound up with the role of Draco.
- During the filming of the Harry/Hermione kissing scene in the last movie, Rupert (Ron) had to be removed from the set because he was laughing so hard.
- In order to become acquainted with the films’ three main stars, director Alfonso Cuaron had each of them write an essay about their characters. True to their characters, Emma Watson wrote a 16-page essay, Daniel Radcliffe wrote a simple, one-page paper, and Rupert Grint never even turned his in.

Here's some Harry Potter facts for all my friends!
In the Spanish translation, Neville's toad, Trevor, was translated as a turtle

The least financially successful Harry Potter movie made $90 million more than the most successful Twighlight movie { beat that Twighlight! }

The actress who played Moaning Myrtle is Acctually 37 years old and is the oldest actress to portray a Hogwarts student.

Jo Rowling is the first person to become a billionaire by writing books

The Death Eaters were originally know as 'the Knights of Walpurgis'

Ron Weasley’s character originally swore a lot, but Rowling’s publisher wouldn’t let her use that sort of language because it would’ve been inappropriate for young readers.

Only Alan Rickman, the actor who played Professor Snape, knew his character’s fate before the release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” because Rowling told him.

The idea for Sirius Black’s tattoos came from those used in Russian prison gangs. The markings identify the person as someone to be feared and respected.

Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played Hagrid in the films, has gotten a mini-fan and a fruit bat stuck in his famous, shaggy beard.

During the filming of the kissing scene between the horcrux versions of Harry and Hermione in the final film, Rupert Grint was removed from the set for laughing too much.

While filming “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” Tom Felton’s Hogwarts robes had their pockets sewn shut because he kept trying to sneak food onto the set.

One of the flying cars used in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” was stolen off the set. It was discovered seven months later when an anonymous caller informed police of its whereabouts.

M.O. McGonagall is listed on one of the Quidditch trophies in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Could Professor McGonagall have been a renowned Quidditch player back in the day? It would certainly explain her enthusiasm for the sport.

People had trouble pronouncing Hermione’s name, so Rowling had her sound it out for Viktor Krum in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”

Forty versions of Salazar Slytherin’s infamous locket had to be created to accommodate Harry and Ron’s failed attempts to destroy it during filming.

In order to become acquainted with the films’ three main stars, director Alfonso Cuaron had each of them write an essay about their characters. True to their characters, Emma Watson wrote a 16-page essay, Daniel Radcliffe wrote a simple, one-page paper, and Rupert Grint never even turned his in.

{ I think I'm done... Enjoy, my HP Friends! }

WARRIORS!!
-Four deputies of RiverClan have come form the same family tree: Crookedjaw(star), Oakheart, Stonefur, and Mistyfoot. Incidentally, two members of that family were deputies in ThunderClan as well: Bluefur(star) and Whitestorm.

-Bluestar and Firestar both had prophecies about them involving fire and saving ThunderClan. Also, Goosefeather told Bluestar (then Bluefur) "Even Fire can be quenched by water" while Spottedleaf said something similar to Firestar (then Fireheart) in Forest of Secrets.

-The last Clan (To the best of our Knowlegde) to have their blood mixed in a half-Clan kit was ShadowClan, with Tigerpaw, Flamepaw, and Dawnpaw. They have ThunderClan and SkyClan blood from Tawnypelt and ShadowClan blood from Rowanclaw. WindClan mixed blood only shortly before ShadowClan, with the birth of Lionbalaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather. (They are 1/2 WindClan, 1/4 ThunderClan, 1/4 Kittypet.) This is also disregarding the time before it was against the warrior code to have kits with a cat in another Clan.

-Since Patchpelt, Willowpelt and Redtail were revealed to be siblings of Spottedleaf, that means they had SkyClan blood as well, which also means that the tiny bit of SkyClan ancestry has been passed to Sorreltail and her kits, as well as Sandstorm and her offspring, and Graystripe and his offspring.

-
Heathertail's name rhymes with Feathertail; they are both beautiful blue-eyed tabbies who fell in love with a cat from another Clan. XD

*Twilight

Speaking of twilight...

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the character Link is transformed into a wolf when he enters an eternal darkness covering the land called Twilight, where he restores the light. The Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu is also depicted as a wolf (or at least she is in Okami.) Hmm... Interesting...
