This isn't really amusing, sorry, but I felt that I had to share this with everyone. Oops.
Okay, so I recently visited my local animal shelter. I was looking for a dog. There were a bunch, of course, but one really stood out. The note on her pen said that her name was Sasha, and there was a warning, saying not to get near the cage because she bit and stuff. The animal shelter helper person told me that she was going to be euthanized in a few hours, because she was wild, and she had been there for a few months. All the other people in the room (around 8 people), steered clear of her. Sasha was barking and growling, snarling and baring her teeth. The whites of her eyes were showing. She was terrified. A kid went up to her, and she snapped at him. The kid ran away. I was entranced by this dog, for some reason. I slowly walked up to her cage, and she stared at me, silent. I reached my fingers through the chain link fence and touched the side of her muzzle. She growled softly, but her eyes had calmed and she relaxed a bit. The helper person was telling me to get back, but I stayed there. "I want this dog." I said, and Sasha let me pet her. She was totally calm and everything around me. I trained her and everything, and now she's fine around everybody. It was so cool to be the only one that she would let touch her, feed her, everything.
I feel like an animal whisperer!
