Things that annoy you

I'm at the vet hospital, and there's a dog who keeps barking. And barking. And barking, and barking, and barking its fool head off. It's driving me absolutely bonkers. Oh, and did I mention it's BARKING!?

I brought my laptop with me, and that's what I'm on right now, back in the employee break room. I go on CS far too much. xD One of the techs just came back and asked me what I was doing. I told her I was on Chicken Smoothie, and she said that she might get an account just because it has such a cool name. Rofl.

Yeah, sometimes good music helps with ideas but if you don't have good music... Blah. I also hate transitioning between ideas. That's often where I get stumped and annoyed. Right now, I'm stuck at a meeting that would basically throw my whole book into motion. *wants to pull out hair* xD

You're writing a book? *Is very interested* The editor in me wants to see it :3 My brother's writing a book, though he's only in the early stages of it. He's putting together a nice little thread on how to make a character; the link is in my signature. Sometimes, doing a 'voice journal' helps me overcome my writer's block, but it doesn't always work. Music works well for me. Thanks for the advice, Princess_Mekka. ^^

Yes, I am writing a book. It's been a WIP for about 6 years, lol! I get mega-writer's block for 6 months straight sometimes and it totally throws a kink in my process. Just recently I decided to scrap the 72 pages I have typed and start over, so, I don't have many new pages typed for the book. As for characters, I'll take a look. I'm decent at making them but sometimes, it's hard to stick to their personalities. XD

I feel for ya. 'da Hubby's gone back to the academy for another week, Mom took the kids to Gettysburg camping and I am completely a l o n e for five days with nothing to do but go to work. (which I'm desperately looking forward to later just for some human contact) And no one to hang out with except the dogs. I don't wanna even go anywhere because if something happens there's nobody around to rescue me. When did I turn into such a little ankle biter hiding behind my big strong man anyway?

As far as the writing and drawing I try not to think about it too much. It seems the more I try to force it the more it gets stuck. It'll come when it's ready. There's nothing more intimidating and overwhelming than a blank piece of paper or a blank monitor page when you're blocked D:

My biggest problem is that I write stuff and store it and keep it all. Then I'll get in a self destructive mood and throw it all away. I've done that so many times over the years and I could kick myself D:

Same here. But for me, I just let my unfinished stories sit in my documents folder and don't even think twice about opening them up and looking at them again. I made a vow to myself that if I ever start writing another story, I'm going to stick to it and not abandon it.


It irks me how some CSI episodes end with maybe someone swearing to take revenge on one of the CSI's or someone finding something critical out and then the episode ends. Argh.

That is annoying, but it's just because they want you to watch the next episode. Lol.

I guess, but usually the next episode doesn't come on next. They'll just go to a whole 'nother show or another CSI that doesn't follow what happened previously. So frustrating.

Yeah, I agree. That would get annoying. I don't watch much TV, though, and I don't have any shows that I really follow, so I just watch whatever's on for a little while, then go do something else. x3

I just thought of something I really hate... When teachers try to make me give a speech. Ugh... I can't even stand up and talk to a group of my own friends, nevertheless give a speech in front of class with kids I don't even know. I'm a talkative person online, but when it comes to real life, it's like I'm mute.

Don't forget the stupid activities teachers make us do these days, too.
