Definitely making one. I made mine for around ~$300 for all material costs, but would never find one that cheap out there!

Hey there! I've never posted here before. Almost did years ago, but never got around to it.

Anyway, here's my fursuit head! They're made by MotleyCrowMasks. I bought it almost a year ago now. I plan to get a bodysuit done this year as well as finish the hand paws and feet paws I started.

Dude I freakin' love that. It looks so cool, I have a major sweet spot for realistic fursuits- they always amaze me.

@kiro,,: Welcome! I haven't officially been fursuiting for very long, but have been interested in it for years. It's worth the effort for sure. If not for the attention (which some people like), then the creativity in of itself.

@Parkayl: I mainly prefer realistic suits myself, so when I got the opportunity to buy this premade, I jumped on it. I'll get something done of my fursona and/or OCs another time, but for now, I am pleased with this foxy friend! Their name is Diamond btw.

In Australia we had our biggest furry convention a few days ago. Unfortunately, numbers and tickets were limited due to covid (+ we out grew the hotel for the past couple of cons.

I also bought back my fursuit from my good friend <3

We missed the fursuit beach walk but held a little one later during the day (when it wasn't so hot)

It's been a while since I posted here so let me introduce myself again. I'm Nick, a system member that goes by He/They pronouns. I have been having weekly playdates with my friend that is very similar to me except that she's a singlet. She is sorta interested in the furry fandom and loves animals all around. The last time we met up, we painted raptor masks, those cheap ones from Target. We are looking at making manes for them out of faux fur but we don't have a mannequin head. Does anyone have any patterning tips other than just take a TON of measurements? Also, does anyone have any tips on what to tell my mom what it is because she thinks furries are all mature content so if you could help me out, that would be great. One last thing, where could I get really thin foam for the inner mouth and forehead? Thank you!

Does anyone know how to make a tail with not much material? My fam dosent like furrys so if I told them I was one and I needed to get materials to make a suit they prob wouldn’t let me, all I have is tape, cardboard, string, and a tiny bit of foam

Hi Nick! It’s great that you have a friend that shares your interests, I know I had a lot of fun helping my sister make one of her suits and going to cons together(rip 2020/2021 con season).
For the first fursuit head I made I actually used a cheap foam mannequin head I bought at Joann’s. It’s not perfect, and it’s a little small(roughly 21” iirc) but it got the job done and my head fit me well. You can also buy foam sheets at Joann’s, they have as thin as 1/2” I believe and they have frequent sales and coupons.
As for your mom, I’d suggest maybe showing her the Moms of Furries YouTube channel. It’s moms with furry kids who make videos about misconceptions of furries.
