I've done ears on a headband. It's a difficult process. I pretty much used a ton of hot glue to make 'em stand. I also used cardboard based ears, not foam. So underneath the fur is thin cardboard, which makes it more sturdy.

If you have google you can upload photo on google drive, anyone know how to make ears stand up on headband?

When I made my headband, I just sewed a pair of stuffed ears and added a flap on the bottom that wrapped pretty tightly around the band and used a bunch of fabric glue and hot glue, and also use hot glue on either side of the ears and around as much as you can without it being visible to increase stability

I really want to go to anthrocon 2018, but my parents say it's specifically about "that" side of the fandom and that there would be drinking and parties and that it was no place for someone under 21. They also said it was weird and my brother said he wished I was a normal kid. Any ways I can convince them it's not?

Try showing them some videos from the con. I've never been to a con (yet) but from what I've heard, Anthrocon is becoming more kid friendly in a sense. Also try to explain that kids do go to cons, I saw some very young children while watching some con videos. Sorry if I don't make any sense, I'm tired

As someone who has been to 5 cons now, I really recommend only people 16+ going to larger cons like AC and MFF, and 18+ for smaller cons. There will be drinking and parties, its a given at any furcon(especially if Alkali is on staff). There are also 18+ panels starting around 5 or 6 pm. AC is trying to be a more family oriented con, but you have to remember that the average con-goer is in their low-mid 20's. You will see pup-hoods, nsfw art with carefully placed stickers, people flipping through nsfw art examples, etc. Not to say you shouldn't go, but your parents aren't completely wrong, furry cons just generally aren't meant for kids beyond the fursuit parade.

Just wanted to give an update of my suit! Well, just the head, really. I have one ear done (finally). After I get the second one done, it's just a matter of glueing, shaving, eyes, and final touches! Oh, and the neck I suppose. Still struggling with how to go about the eyes, heheh. But anyway, here's a pic!



It's pretty messy right now because it's unshaven, but there it is. =P

I have seen some people making Khajiit fursuits. I wonder how they get the permission to do it. Because i know Khajiits are a character race in Skyrim. If i understand,fursuit makers won't make anything that is copyrighted.

Depends on the maker and if it's a commission or personal use. Plus it's very unlikely they'd get sued over a fursuit, companies don't usually waste their time on that. So technically if it's a commission it is illegal, but it's something very unlikely to bear any consequences, and thus people do it anyways.

Yeah, I knew there was gonna be stuff like that...honestly my school is probably worse than that. Kids have nsfw magazines and movies stuffed in lockers and desks, you have no idea how much bad graffiti there is and it sounds like the kids learned curses at an early age lol. Thanks for the advice tho, I generally wanted to go for the parade, dealers den, and meeting some friends (by which I mean making friends TELEPHONE IM LOOKIN AT U) and since I live extremely close to Pittsburgh, I was trying to convince my family to let me go. I even have a few furry friends at school who would be willing to go with me. My parents knew about all the stuff you mentioned, but they think EVERYTHING is a huge rave party specifically meant and made for that side of the fandom. They've also watched the CSI episode ok furries and that's literally all they know about it- they refuse to listen to me about anything good about the fandom like the fact that last year at anthrocon j believe they raised around 9,000-10,000$ for the humane society
