How about the Quakers?
"Oh, we persecuted the Quakers because they wanted religious tolerance."
Guess what: homosexuality isn't wrong. So what if you love someone of the same gender? At least you've found someone you love, right? Isn't that enough?

I even understand where they are coming from in most of our debates.
Not being part of a religion doesn't make you a bad person by defult. Religions endorse morals, they didn't create them. I can think of many athiests who did wonderful things, many christians who did awful things and vice versa. A person isn't made by their beliefs and if someone is going to be as blind as to discriminate then they miss out on meeting many wonderful people.
So please don't think all Christians are dogmatic fools who can't see past their interpretation of the Bible. We're not all that blinded.

Yeah. I'm not going to dispute that- but some Athiests are as well. Its a personal thing, not nessasarily about what religion you hold, but more about how you are a person. Can you live and let live or can you not leave well enough alone? I guess thats my point. What I say to everyone.
