My mother messed up the cookies.
I said I would do them, because she didn't want to use the recipe, but she absolutely refused to back down.
And she messed them up.
They're warm and gooey and chocolatey, all right, but they're also
mushy. I don't want my damn chocolate chip cookies to be mushy, thanks. They're supposed to be
soft, not flop over in my hand and half of it break and fall to the floor and make a wet
smack sound.

Every gift I get for my mother is either "Too expensive, what are you doing with your money!" or "Too cheap, what kind of pathetic gift is this!" Even the truly sentimental gifts are just not good enough.
My mother's birthday is near the end of October. I bought her larimar and sterling silver earrings, which she's been wanting but are "too expensive."
I searched the internet, found a nice-looking pair on eBay for just under $15, and bought them.
Suck on
that! No yelling at me about gifts
this year!
And that brings something else to mind.... Who are you to talk to me about money when you are stealing the college fund money I was awarded in court? c':
