I don't mean about him. But it is a true statement. If you truly did love the first one, you never would have fallen for the second one.

Not necessarily; love isn't quite that simple. I have been in a relationship for over a year, and I had a massive crush on someone else for about three or four weeks. But I know that I love my boyfriend, and I thought this other crush was love. It may have been, but now I have no feelings for him and I'm still with my boyfriend.
Also, I don't really believe in the ~magical mystical awesome~ powers of love. Scientists have found that the "symptoms" of love are caused by a series of chemical reactions and hormones, and the average person can only keep them in their bloodstream for at most about three years. (This may not be true; I didn't see any results of the study, but it was on a pretty reliable source.)

I reaaaally hate that quote. But let me explain myself.
We have a really hard time telling love from like or crush sometimes. You meet someone new and they are just so wow and your brain turns to mush and everything seems perfect and nothing matters anymore, but really, that hardly ever lasts. And dumping someone just cause you fall for someone else is just.. how do you ever plan on settling down? You will fall for random people pretty much constantly for the rest of your life, and if that's enough to dump whoever you're currently with, then honestly, I feel sorry for them AND you. No, I've found that the best "solution" is not to make any decisions straight away, and just wait it out. Sooner or later crushes will fade and the people who you like will still be just people who you like, but as for the one you love the most, I don't think that will ever go away. Like Saren said, love chemically doesn't last for more than a couple years, but when you fall for someone that hard, you manage to fall in love over and over again, and your brain does the chemical thing again and again and again, so long as this love is nurtured by both of these people.

As for the people who have the "I have two crushes! Which one should I go for?" problem, I'm here to tell you that you shouldn't go for either. If by "go for" you mean "how do I get them to date me??". If, however, you first want to legitimately get to know them, and be their friend, then go for both. Or all of them, if theres more than two. Only by being their friend you can know if you and them could possibly be anything more than friends. So if you think you like someone, make friends with them WITHOUT the intention of getting them to date you. Trust me, that will only bring disappointment later on.

I really wouldn't go with that...
Sometimes people like two people the same, or they could love the first more than the second. I myself have more than one crush, but the first is by far the strongest. <3

While this can be the case, it's not always accurate. You can love two people at the same time. You can also love the first one more than you love the second one. There's just a lot of flaws with that quote.

I have an odd opinion about this.

First of all I think I have had a crush on G ever since I met him... But I didn't realize it.

P came along, and I thought I liked him, the truth is he was the next best thing. I think I knew it subconsciously, but I was too distracted to realize it.

P and I became friends and he admitted he liked another girl. This snapped me out of my daze and I realized that what I was looking for was there the whole time.

I think once you get to know a person, you will be ale to figure out if you really like them.

In the case of G and me, I think we are going to last awhile.

The Valentines dance was last night, we both had a great time. (Even though we didn't dance much because we both suck at dancing)
