What do you do when you find out that one of your friends like the same guy as you?

There's this guy. I knew him in preschool, and I even had a crush on him then. We sort of forgot about each other, but now we're in the same class, and I still have a crush on him. It's more sophisticated, obviously, since we're older. The problem is that I feel awkward around him. He's funny, and sweet, and cute. But when I'm around him I don't know what to say to him. I end up saying something stupid. What do I do?

Try to find something that both of you could speak about and relate to. When you are around him and you can't think of anything to say, just don't try to blurt something out.
I kind of have half-experience with this, this guy I like, well we aren't very alike. He was in my class two years ago, but last year he was just in my music class, so it kind of got difficult. He's really musical, so I just tried to talk to him about guitar and bass kind of stuff.
Also, if you have his mobil phone number, start texting him, even if it's just a simple greeting and asking what he's doing/how he is. If the conversation seems to drop or feel awkward, suggest doing this question game, where you ask him a question, he answers and then he asks you one. Then it just continues on. It's a good way to find out things about eachother, like interests or just random facts.

I was having a nightmare about him, so I went on his Facebook to see my nightmares weren't, obviously true.
But I had to double check.
And that was a terrible idea, because I see a tagged picture with him and some girl, captioned "my favourite lip-splitter"
I mean, I want to think I'm just jumping to conclusions but... What else could that title mean?

I knew exactly that this is what I was getting myself into. I was okay with it, I really was. As time progressed, I started to just pretend I was Okayama it's it, that himself eyeing other girls didn't bother me.
But seeing that? Seeing the actual proof? Makes me realize that I am completely not okay with it.
And now I am hoping that he will just slowly forget about me. I don't want to be a part of this anymore.

I don't see why you would feel obligated to tell her. That's not something she is entitled to know. If you're uncomfortable telling her, in fear of it making things awkward, then don't tell her. It's just a crush anyway, and neither of you are actually dating the guy, and he's no one's property. She shouldn't be mad, whether you tell her or she finds out on her own. If she is mad, that is shallow and childish and bad company. You should never let a boy come between a friendship. I recommend you keep it a secret until you know you're ready [and you trust your friend enough to] tell her the truth. I'll say it again, it's just a crush- neither of you should ever keep a possessive hold over him. Friendship is far more important.
