Vegetarianism, anyone?

I'm not a vegetarian/vegan. (Can I just refer to both as vegetarian because it's so much easier?) I never have been, I never will be. I like my meat, and I like my milk.

Now, I fully accept the fact that I will be bashed for my opinion because it contradicts and probably offends someone else out there, but I don't care. I'm not looking to pick a fight, or antagonize anyone. I'm merely stating my opinion. I have multiple friends who are vegetarians, and I respect them for that.

I find the choice of going vegetarian/vegan ridiculous.
A) You don't want to eat the animal. Fantastic. It's going to be eaten by someone else. Why let good meat go to waste? Yes, it sucks the way these animals are slaughtered. I'm not arguing that. Believe me, I know how they're killed. Doesn't mean I'm gonna go turn vegetarian over it. And I'm not going to pay extra money to buy from a company that humanely kills their animals. I'm sorry, I'd love to, but with the economy these days, there is no way I can do that. I'll pray that cow went to heaven while I eat it.
B) Contrary to popular belief, it is not healthier. There is nutrition and vitamins in animal products that we need. Yes, you can take a pill now and solve all your problems and be healthy and pure. Goody for you. You still aren't getting the nutrition.

Now that's my opinion. I do have quite a few friends who are vegetarian, so I have nothing against people who are vegetarian. However, I still think you're being ridiculous. I'm not going to try to change you, but I will never become you.
