I don't know who that was directed at, lol, but for me I hate the thought of eating/killing another animal. A creature who is so similar to me, not a plant, but a creature with brains, hearts, blood, etc. And its not necessary. I don't like killing animals, and I don't need to kill them to live, so I won't.

Well (if thats to me..) then I know some one how doesn't eat meat simply because she doesn't like the taste. It's just like if i don't like apples why would i eat them. not eatting animals because they where alive once dosen't make sense to me because vegtables where alive once too....

Well, apples are from plants. Animals are not. Animals are alive just like you are. Self-aware, with brains hearts blood etc.

Oh ok- i was about to say plants are living too.
But nah- i dont think i would survive without bacon with my pancakes. But i admire you for being so healthy- you'll probably live longer than me!

Ohh bacon and pancakes, haha, that always gets people. But, there is vegan bacon. In the vegan world there really is a substitute for everything. ;)

if i every could give up milk and meat then i think i think i'd have to give up eating anything. Plants are *alive* and they aren't grown responsibly either so for the same reasons i gave up animals would i not have to give up plants as well?

I respect vegetarian/vegans as well i just could never give up what i love xD

Yeah but as I said before, plants are not alive in the same ways that animals are. If that was the case, then we wouldn't have the two separate categories of plant and animal, we would all be mushed together. =)
Great that you respect vegetarians/vegans, I also respect meat-eaters as long as they aren't jumping on tables screaming at me for being a vegan (to some people that's like the end of the world, I guess?) And same goes for vegans though too, I can't stand the vegans who go around yelling at everyone for eating meat.. I totally see where they're coming from, but honestly, its not their place to go yelling at people for having different food choices.. even if they do think its wrong.

i am a vegetarian, i dont eat meat or fish. some day i want to be a vegan but i think that it may be bad for my health. the reason i am a vegetarian is that i dont want to eat any animals.

Do you have any tips on becoming a vegan? Like what do you eat to stay healthy?

A balanced vegan diet can actually be extremely healthy.
Tips on becoming a vegan... well, just make sure to get all the stuff you need, haha. The main thing you would possibly have trouble with is B-vitamins and calcium. Soymilk is good for B-vitamins and calcium. Protein too, and that is obviously in nuts, I eat hummus and pita bread for a complete protein and also I'm fairly certain that the soymilk contains protein as well.
That's all, really, B-vitamins, protein, and calcium are the main things that some vegans have trouble with.
Other than that, just eat fruits and veggies and sandwiches and stuff. Keep it balanced, just like you would on a non-vegan diet.

I know it's a bit beside the point, but why do people feel the need to separate fish from meat when they say the don't eat meat? fish is meat, it has a heart, blood, organs etc.
Back on CS after a long absence, tons of pre-2012 rares for trade! looking to fill out my collection from the years I've been gone! Check my trade rules for current most-wanteds!
