Happy Easter everyone!
God Bless you! <3

So I woke up at 8:00, and went down to my church to help out at the Easter egg hunt for 4ish hours. Then I went home for a few minutes, and dashed off to North West Harvest which is this program for volunteers to help package food and such for the hungry. I was there for about 2 hours (7,000 pounds of corn!) and then I went home. After hanging out for a bit, I then went outside to help my dad and sister move a ton of dirt to another spot. At the end of the day, I realized that as a christian, it's my duty to feel that fulfilled every single day of my life. I hadn't been doing that with my life.
So, I went to church this morning and was dumbstruck with the power of God and how well the sermon rolled into my self-taught life-lesson. It was so powerful that I was sobbing. It's really hard to sing while sobbing, let me tell you. I tried anyways. ^.^
First off, I better explain why I was crying the first time. My brother is in the air force academy, as most of you know, and yesterday we found out that another cadet died in a car crash. It's awful. He had been in a squadron with my brother freshmen year. Anyways, my brother sent my mom a text while we were in church that said he was going to go to the concert with those three guys in that car, but he bailed last minute. He could have been the one to be killed. So, I was crying about that for a while, that's for sure. Luckily, the man that died is a very strong Christian, and we know he's with God now. (Please be praying for all the cadets and the cadet's family.)
Second off, near the end of the sermon, my pastor said we were going to sing a hymn. Two of the church elders brought foreword a small foot bridge, the kind that you put in your garden for decoration that's about three feet long. He invited everyone to come foreword while we were singing to signify the passing from your old life to your new life in which you'll live with Christ and serve him. We started singing 'In Christ I Stand', one of my favorite hymns. After two people I decided I wanted to walk over that bridge. I wanted to serve God and be fulfilled every day of my life. So I walked right up there and went across the bridge. As soon as I got back to my seat I started sobbing, almost uncontrollably. We were standing, and my whole body was shaking slightly. I was just so overwhelmed with the power and love of God, and the love from his people. Later, my mom told me that it was a good thing that we don't always fully understand just how much God loves us, because we wouldn't be able to function.
I hope that my testimony has helped you all in some way, or at least made you day a little brighter. I hope all of you had a spectacular Easter, just as I did, and may God bless you all. He is risen!
