So, call me a hater, but some Christian music just makes me feel sick. Like, quite literally. My local Christian station, when I turn it on, unless I'm in need of much prayer and presence of God, it just makes my stomach hurt. It's as if God doesn't want me listening to it, lol. I don't know what it is. It's not all Christian music, I love Christian music, but I think it's the pop. I just hate how it makes a big show of hymns and songs that quote scripture. I guess it's just not my cup of tea.

I really don't like Christian pop. I like other pop, like Katy Perry and such, but when it's specifically Christian it just makes no sense. To me, praising God shouldn't be through auto-tune, super upbeat and fast paced. But that's just me. I also think that praising God is something that everyone does differently, just because I don't like doing it that way doesn't mean other people can't. What I don't like is when people judge me for not liking Toby Mac. He's only ok, alright? I'm just not a huge fan. Most the time I just get looks as if I had just said something outrageous and offensive, and many "WHAT?!"s and "WHY NOT?!!"s.

I know what you mean. I like Christian Bands (Mainly Skillet and Relient K) but its when people who basically quote the bible to auto-tuned pop, it makes my head hurt. -_- I like Relient K and Skillet, because instead of just quoting the Bible to weird up beat music, they instead explain stuff in their own words, singing about their own experiences and their own feelings, and they are more alternative rock, which I much prefer ^.^ Well, Relient K is Alternative; Skillet is a little more hard core, but I still really like them! ^.^ And neither sing exclusively about God, which I like because bands that do that tend to end up just singing essentially the same thing over and over again XD Besides that, it also makes all the ones that ARE about God more memorable ^.^

i know what you mean:) my youth pastor is trying to get an entire band in our youth group for worship time. i personally like it with just the guitar and our voices. don't get me wrong, i have nothing against the whole drums and more singers and stuff but i really think i wouldn't be concentrating on worshiping God at that point, it would be a serious distraction to me:P

I felt that way at this one church I went to. It was so bland and not moving, and I felt like I was going to puke. Like, I want to be in a motivated church. In this church, most the people sat and stared as though they don't care.
I like Toby Mac. But it's ok if you don't. I REALLY like Jamie Grace. Look her up sometime!
