Okay, I don't mean to offend anyone when I say this but the bible says for people not to like the opposite gender... yet, some Christians are gay or lesbian...?

Actually, it isn't as clear-cut as that. I suggest having a read of Atwood's posts where she elaborates on homosexuality in the Bible. And yes, many Christians are gay, lesbian or bisexual.

God clearly doesn't like gays, he destroyed two entire cities because of it! don't get me wrong, God doesn't want us all to completely shun gays and lesbians and such. He really loves the people just not the sin... are there really gays and lesbians that call themselves christians? i find that imensly sad . i must be missing something here...

I'm my opinion, its a sin like any other sin; however, God forgives all sin if we ask, therefore there can be homosexuel Christians.

Bery- Have you sinned? I think you have. We all have; no sin is greater than any other, and God can forgive all sin if we ask, so why is it sad to be a homosexual christian? It means they either find no fault in their ways, which, is their own opinion, but at least they believe and love God, or they believe they have sinned and have asked forgiveness. God can forgive all sins. He can forgive them just as easily as anyone else.

I completely agree with this... a lot of people get ridiculed for it but if they are Christians and believe in Christ and have accepted him as their savior then they know that it is a sin and it is their decision to be homosexual.

Yes, please take it to the above links. The only way to ultimately prove each other wrong (because as humans we are incredibly stubborn) is when we get to heaven. Kill the debate and we'll find out when we get there.

I think if you read more carefully it's because hospitality in those cities basically meant rape. Lots of rape.

Anyway, like Garrus says, Atwood has done some lovely posts on it.
