Basically, we use sign language, dowel rods and sometimes props like capes and such to create scenes that come together into kind of a wordless play. We do it to music, witch often has lyrics narrating it. If you look on the last page there is a thread that explains it and has clips of some of them.

Okay, they do look pretty cool but they look like something you would see in a rock church service. I do think they would be out of place in a worship service.

Not most of them are, they where just the only clips I could find on Youtube XD I think the rocky-est one there is an upbeat Latino one for Easter.
I'm going to try to get our Christmas one on this computer. It isn't upbeat or anything, its this song-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2UojeLnllM
Except its song by a guy.
It went through the life of Jesus in two ways
We had one girl using dowel rods as the baby, and behind her had my brother acting the part of Jesus. The people (Me and the rest of the team) turned on him and crucified him, and than Mary runs around the stage with her broken sticks, witch symbolize Jesus's broken body.
People litterly where leaving the sanctuary in tears.
It was one of my favorites </3
We do it and then the Pastor does a sermon relating to our performance.

Also, I don't think I would say we are trying to compete with pop culture, since none of ours really... do XD I mean, the majority are done to hyms, and its not like where dancing around the stage; where creating scenes that go with the lyrics.
My church doesn't like trying to compete with the pop culture (We actually had a sermon about it like 2 weeks ago XD) and most of the Stix stuff isn't 'rocky' or anything. Besides maybe Gods Got an Army,, but we've never actually done that one XD

It's more or less a cheerleading routine, lol. I'm sorry, but I just can't see it. I'm glad that you're getting spiritual nourishment and fulfillment, but for me, something a bit more serious and with a bit more fundamental meaning.

...yeah, I better stop there for real, lol

Okay, I don't mean to offend anyone when I say this but the bible says for people not to like the opposite gender... yet, some Christians are gay or lesbian...?

I'm my opinion, its a sin like any other sin; however, God forgives all sin if we ask, therefore there can be homosexuel Christians.
However, I have a feeling this will quickly turn into a debate, so if you could take this question here-

Or
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=800338
You should get a more detailed answer. ^.^

Harp- Well, I don't think I would compare it to a cheerleading act, but, to each his own.

Can you guys ease pray HARD!
My great aunt is in the hospital dying. She is really deep in the woods and tomorrow they are going to take her off of life support. She probably won't make it cause she is so deep in the woods and she doesn't want to live. She has been depressed most of her life. But hey god can do anything. That one song popped In my head as I was thinking about this:
" my savior he can move the mountains
My god is might to save, he is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation, he rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave..."

Definitely.
"remember how we forgot?
remember how no one ever really died in the wars we fought?
because each gunshot came from our fingertips
and we never really kept them loaded, just in case
because each enemy was a friend and none of it was about oil, religion or land
it was all just pretend;
remember how we used to bend reality
like we were circus strong men
like our imaginations were in shape then
like we were all
ninjas trained in the deadly art of "did not"
like "i totally got you!"
"...did not"
remember how we forgot?
