<3 PLEASE PRAY FOR ANGELIQUE! <3

Postby Air » Thu Nov 24, 2011 4:06 am

Hey everyone. I'd like to put through a Prayer request. I'm not good with words, but I'll try.

My best Friend in real life is going through major problems. She was born with Sugar Diabetes, and in case you don't know, it means she can't control her blood sugar, and her own cells sometimes attack her organs. She has already lost some and relies on this weird thing strapped to her stomach to test her blood, blah blah blah. Recently the disease started attacking her Kidneys and her Heart. I am very scared she will die. She is a wonderful girl, only turning 12, and she always looks so happy, if you've been fired from work, lost your house and boy/girl friend, had someone close to you die and get robbed all in the same day, a smile from her would make everything seem okay. She is such a wonderful, beautiful Greek girl, she really deserves to live. Please, Please, Please pray to the lord that she lives. I will keep you updated about how she is. Please, Please pray for her. Her name is Angelique Welch, but her friends call her Ang. Please pray that she lives.
Thank you so much if you do. This is very serious, people who don't know her well say she will die, but I know her. I want her to have the strength to live, she is a determined girl. Please pray for the welch family....
I really could write so much here, but I know then you wouldn't want to read a long list of stuff. but please, please, pleasepleaseplease Pray that she lives. You Probably don't know what it means to me, but all I say is, a lot. Thank you everyone.

The truth comes to those who believe. ~ Rough quote from one of my favorite Christmas movies.

Prayer request: I feel weird asking other people to pray for me or one of my friends or family, BUT I'm gonna do it anyway. I'd like you all to pray for three of my 8th grade friends. I went to a sleepover at my friend Allyson's house (one of the three) without knowing this was going to be going on later, but sometime around 8, she said that we were going to use Wicken spells and use Pagen worship to summon\speak to ghosts\demons. I didn't actually participate, nor did I believe anything was going to happen at all, but with a bunch of failed attempts I thought she would give up. Instead she picked up one of the crystals (quartz I think) that my other friend had brought and used it as a pendelum and started asking questions to the 'ghosts' in her house, asking for the spirits to turn it one way or the other for a response. She got responses. The first time she did it, I'm not really sure what happened, but she got really weak and shaky and we had to help her downstairs, she almost fainted. As soon as she regained her bearings, she wanted to do it again! We refused to try it again for her safety any more. The next day, after her mom had left the house to go into town (she lives in the country) she decided we were going to do it again because she wanted to figure out what had happened to the spirit and why it was in her house. We did some research after she asked her questions and she and 2 of my other friends that had been there asked what was supposedly another spirit about its identity. When it gave completely different answers than the 'little boy' we had just 'contacted', they decided there were at least 3 different spirits in the house. I would've left early except my parents didn't answer the phone and didn't know how to get to her house. I just pray that she doesn't keep trying to contact the 'spirits' and neither do the other two that participated in it. Thank you!

That's really scary. I'll pray for her...
I don't believe in ghosts, but I believe that Demons would make themselves look like a departed loved one, to trick you. :(

I know this issue holds quite a bit of controversy, but I advise against praying for her.
If this is what she believes in you shouldn't try and pray to have her change her faith. She shouldn't pressure you into joining in against your will, but she should be allowed to practice her faith as she wants to. If she is a Wicca and practices Wicca you should not pray for her to convert away from this belief system, it is rude and disrespectful.
Unless she has asked for you to pray for her or you have asked and she has agreed it is unkindly. A word of advice, do not ever pray for someone who is not of the same religion unless they have agreed to it or specifically asked for it. I'm sure you wouldn't enjoy having a Satanist pray for you to convert some time soon and pray for you to stop worshi[pping God because they believe it unsafe for you. If this is what she genuinely believes in then let her be, please.

Ash! wrote:Ghosts don't exist I believe. My youth minister said they don't exist, but demons do. I was told by my youth minister that if you wake up and can't move or talk a demon is holding you down, and all you have to say to make all of that to disipear is to say Jesus. That happend to him once and he said Jesus and all of it stopped.
I will pray for your friend tonight or now.

This is called Sleep Paralysis. It has nothing to do with demons and as a frequent sufferer, I can promise you, saying 'Jesus' will do nothing. His one-time experience with it is not proof, likely coincidence. It occurs when your body tries too quickly to fal in or out of REM sleep and leaves you suspended in a sort of half-dreaming, half-awake state. Hallucinations that occur (that can include any or all of the five senses) are thought to be the cause of your brain trying to dream, and instead projecting into your real surroundings. The paralysis is easily explained. When dreaming, your body essentially paralyzes you so you don't act out what you're dreaming. Because your brain thinks you're asleep and dreaming normally, it paralyzes you as it normally would.
If this happens to you, and statistics show it likely will at least once in your life, simply try to relax and focus all your energy on moving your pinky finger. The second you can achieve any small movement, you'll be released.

Sorry to barge in like this, I just hate when people don't do the research and instead start spreading the nonsense about it being spiritual/supernatural. Please look these things up and inform yourself before giving people false advise based on one anecdote from one person and their one experience. It's just silly. :/

That sound you heard? That was me screaming.

If God WANTED us to be brainless piles of mush, DON'T YOU THINK HE WOULD HAVE DONE SO? No, instead we were made IN HIS IMAGE. We have brains that think. We do not follow blindly. We have a drive to explain and learn about the world around us. We have intelligence of our own unique brand; it is what sets us apart from the animals.

If you think that science is anti-Christian, you are a damned fool.

I'd better stop there before I get even angrier. But seriously, if we get on an anti-intellectual streak on here, I am going to shank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IN THE RIBS. ... ...in Christian love of course.

I think Science and the Bible go hand in hand, personally. Some of the greatest scientists in the world where devout Christians, and if I'm not mistaken, it was with the help of Religious Monks, who copied and preserved findings, which brought us out of the Dark Ages.

About demons and ghosts- It is my personal belief that ghosts (Meaning the souls of a deceased beings) do not exist.
I am not saying that if you wake up and can't move you are being held by a demon, but I do believe demons exist, and can do that, if they so choose. I also find no fault in calling on the name of the Lord if you believe you are dealing with a demon, though I wouldn't assume anyone who has something strange happen is dealing with demons.

Just my thoughts

Truths about the world we live in come from science.

Maybe for some things. /will not further on the topic

Beggin' your pardon, but that my dear would be called a conscious. Everyone has it. Whether you believe it looks like a tattooed wolf or not is all in your head. It's simply you conscious, or as most Christians know it, the devil. Also known as temptation itself.

Harp deary. You really do need to learn to control yourself. I nearly got caught sneaking on the computer because I was laughing so hard. And I totally agree to my full extent. (Ha, does that even make any sense? Pff, no.) You always manage to say what I have never been able to and I tip my hat to you. Haha I'm not wearing a hat.

Judy Update: Thank you to everyone that has been praying for her. God has truly worked miracles. Judy is doing much better now. They had to take out two bits of her skull on either side of her head because when she was pushed/jumped out of the car her brain literately shook inside of her skull. A while ago she gave a thumbs up when the nurse asked her to, when her mom asked for a "love squeeze" Judy squeezed her hand back. :) When her brothers left from visiting her at the hospital she waved goodbye to them. This is great progress. I think she still has a little antenna looking thing coming out of her head that the doctors use to measure the pressure in her brain. She'll be getting e helmet so she can sit up. It was funny, her roommate and best friend from always said that "it has to be pink or she's not going to wear it.." haha. :) Again, thank you all for praying!
