I admit that I have a problem cursing when I'm earnest, mostly because I get so passionate - and angry - about things. I'll try to keep it down on this thread, but please bear with me; I struggle - as I'm sure all of us do - with being angry and frustrated sometimes.

(I also see cursing as not so much a problem with the word as a problem with the emotions fueling it.)

I have to be really aggravated to let loose some swears, and I always shock a few people when I do. I stink at swearing. /badpun

Sometimes I say Lalalala outside if I don't have enough presence of thought not to. ;) I'll do that sometimes when I catch myself gossiping or about to say something not so nice about someone else. The tongue is a tough thing to tame sometimes.

Amen. "The tongue is sharper than a two edged sword."

James 3:3-10 "When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be."

Love love love love love love James.

Song of Solomon is one of my favorite books pretty much because of the cheesiness but poetic...ness. <3 Oh Solomon, how you loved your women..."orz A little too much, maybe?

Thy teeth [are] like a flock [of sheep that are even] shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none [is] barren among them.

Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech [is] comely: thy temples [are] like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.

Thy neck [is] like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.

Yup. A bit too much.
