Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies,
Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity,
visit and heal also Your servants from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ.
Grant them patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health.
Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed.
I pray, heal Your servants and grant to them the gift of complete health.
For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Will pray, Sparrow! Surgery stinks, as I had 5 teeth cut out too long ago, and know how she feels to some extent.

And guys, there are many type of Christians. Some baptist, non-deminational, ect... So we have the same basic principal, but not every veiw is the same. If you want to argue about how of christian veiws are diffrent, just keep in mind we're all diffrent, along with our religions.

As long as you belive Jesus died on the cross for us, I think we're all in the same boat. So I repeat: We don't all have the excact veiws. So don't argue, it puts us all in a bad mood. And God/Jesus wouldn't like it.

I was born into a family who is evangelical Christian. Since I was born I received a Christian education.
After that, I do not know if I could say I'm Christian or not, for a long time I am in doubt and discouragement.

Anyway, I think this is not necessarily the topic to talk about my life x) But I am delighted to see Christians on the Internet.

Flitzalys, if you want someone to talk to, I'm here.

I've been through my own period of doubt and discouragement. I realized that my problems weren't connected to losing faith in Christ - my problems were that I was losing faith in the Church.

Sometimes it helps to step back and realize that what we've been taught is not all there is - that our frustrations may not be with Christ at all, but with the flawed earthly manifestation of the Church. Being frustrated by an organization run in this fallen and wicked world by sinful people is, well, quite understandable.

(I'm also always happy to talk re: evolution, biology, and Christianity, going back to an earlier topic.)

Also, have a lovely icon of St. Francis of Assisi...

Harpalyce, thank you.

In fact, I think especially as I am discouraged over many events that happened in my life, in my family, around me.

I sometimes compare the French with American Christians: I feel that there really is a void. I do not know how to describe it.
I feel not to advance, and, conversely, completely move back.

In both cases, I think both French and American Christians have become secularized - they have lost sight of what God's grace really means, and how it should affect their lives. In the USA, it's turned to commercialism, which is really quite disgusting.

Sometimes it helps to step back and look to the rest of the world, where that void does not exist, where it has been filled and people know how to fill it.

I know what you mean, though. There is definitely that void.
