Congrats on being baptized. I will pray for you for sure!.....and that youtube video of the sermon was really cool. I skimmed through it but the parts I heard were breath-taking. It really showed how amazing God really is!

Hi, thank you for the link. I watched all of it, although I’m not sure why you recommended it to me. I think that the universe is incredible, remarkable, beautiful, complex; it stuns me and moves me regularly, so I definitely don’t need to be told how amazing the universe and biology is. :] I’m not sure what you wanted me to take away from watching this video? ^^;
I understand the point he was making, but on a more practical level, I don’t agree that the yardstick, the ruler, the tape measure and other tools like these won’t help you in the neighborhood of God. These things do have value – the neighborhood of God is the universe, and tools like these and others in science are part of how we make sense of that universe/neighborhood in the first place. It’s partially in thanks to tools like these that we know what we do.
Mmm I don’t think things being shaped like crosses mean anything. Crosses are shapes. Shapes are found everywhere. I don’t think God was at work when my grilled cheese comes out cross-shaped, heh. I think we should be wary of seizing upon things which happen to be cross-shaped and ascribing such significant meaning to coincidence.
