I've never heard anyone say that you can't feel pain in dreams.
They must be crazy, or I must be highly out of the norm, because I feel pain in my dreams when warranted. o__O

Me neither, thats weird if you shouldn't feel pain in your dreams. Usally when I feel pain in my dreams it's when it's from a really tramatic or bad injury. Like once I had a dream where I told someone I couldn't die unless my heart was destroyed. So they pulled out a gun and shot me in the head three times, I didn't really feel pain but more like a deafening pressure in my head and afterwards numbness. Oh, and don't worry I survived in the dream.

Well my psychiatrist said it, and she's just a moron anyway. XD

I've never killed someone in a dream o.o Other than myself anyway. But that's pretty typical of a screwed-up teenager to have a dream like that.

I feel pain kind of but it isn't anything to the extent it should be in real life, if that makes sense.

I dreamed I got shot in the thigh once for some reason, and though it kinda hurt, I was OK.

I had a dream last night, and basically I was going to die. And if I didn't die I wOuld be killed anyway, and I sorta excepted it. I was like slowing being paralyzed sorta. Anyway, I began to sorta write a will. I wrote a couple of things I would give away then I wrote to this boy, and I said I loved him and allways had and will. Then I sorta slowly realized it wasn't real. And I was SO relieved when I realized it was a dream. And then I remember planning to tell him that if I survived. And yeah.

I haven't told him anything though. I saw him today. It was just sorta, awakening? And yeah...

A few months ago, I had a dream. It was terrible. It was a lockjaw dream. What pretty much happens is that my jaw locks and my teeth clench together really hard. I try to open my mouth but it feels like my jaw is going to rip apart and break. That was just one night I had that dream, then it happened again. And again. I kept having them. Every second night for two months the dreams went on for. And I'm telling you. They hurt so much. In a few of the dreams, my teeth come out and there's blood everywhere and there is pain everywhere in my mouth. They stopped about a month ago and ever since, anytime I move my mouth, it cracks. I yawn. crack. I eat. crack. I move my jaw. crack. It's creepy and I hate it. Plus, my jaw tenses up and I use my hand and I puropsely crack it because when I do, my jaw feels better. I have no clue why this happened but at least the dreams have stopped. Sorry to everyone who is creeped out by this but I just had to share it.

I haven't ever felt pain in a dream. I freak out and get scared, the aftermath of being shot in the leg, but don't actually feel anything. Nor do I actally hear sounds in my dreams. It is just telapathy, I guess. I know what they were saying when there wasn't a sound. I'm just creepy, I guess. I don't usually have dreams anymore, I can't remember having a dream for at least two months. It might have to do with working untill four and getting up at six, but whatever. XD

Has anyone ever had a dream when you knew your were asleep?

I haven't, but my friend says she has a lot. I'm just intrested to see if anyone else has like her. :3

I have, actually. I have screwed up, wacky, obviously fake dreams the majority of the time. Although I probably haven't had a dream in a few months, that I can remember, anyway.

However; I get Tornado dreams occasionally. I don't know why, there random and sometimes I appear as a person that I don't even know. They like skip around, to different tornado scenarios with brand new scenes and a new character for my dream to "make" me into like right before I get killed by the tornado. I don't know, It's hard to explain - but anyway, these are like the only dreams that I seem to have complete control over my actions in. I can think, and I can actually control , for the most part, what happens in the scene (kinda) and what my dream character does. So, this also means, that I have to know that I'm awake.
    OAO
    I can actually pinch myself in my dreams, and instead of feeling the pain I would normally feel, It's this numbing type pain. I feel pain in my dreams, it's just very dulled compared to what you would feel in real life - like the dream I got shot in the back in. Any who, I can actually tell when I'm awake in these dreams due to said action, and are able to control the major actions of what I do in the dreams. It's pretty sweet yet troublesome at the same time. ^^;

o-o I get some weird dreams a lot. Its like, whenever I remember a dream, its either insanely weird or insanely scary.

Like, one time, I had a dream i was at some place on a beach with free squishy toys (like those rubber snakes and stuff) and if you went out the back door, there was a beach and an island in the distance, and you won something if you could make it to the island. So I went out to the island on some little orange sail-boat and fell into the water, then i was pulled on shore by a friend, then I woke up.

Then I had this other dream where I was in an area behind a baseball field, and it was a canyon thingy, and i was driving my dad's truck and he was in the passenger seat, and at one point i crashed and i was trying to pull my dad out of the canyon and somehow i went flying and impaled my body on a rock-spike o_o

o.o Either way, I've never felt pain in my dreams. Actually, I've never felt anything physical. I don't really know if thats normal or not or what, but I chose not to worry about it; I've realized over time that my dreams are usually messed up versions of either reality or something i imagined while awake, even if it was subconsciously imagined. I personally find dreams really interesting, because they help me understand things a bit better...

I have a friend who's learned how to control what happens in her dreams o.O But the way she does it, you have to be really calm when you fall asleep, and that's really rare for me so I wouldn't ever be able to do it well.
And if you feel like you don't have one person out there that cares about you then congratulations, let me tell you you're wrong! 'Cause I care about you!
