Creepy dreams: what do they mean?!

Postby disORGAniSedMacbeth » Sat Jun 12, 2010 4:27 pm

First I had a dream there was a Tsunami coming in Florida and no one believed me, though the tide was receding very quickly. Second, I had a dream where there was this huge hurricane filled with sand heading in Florida. Lots of natural disaster dreams ... what do they mean? The tsunami one was so realistic ... every time the tide goes out I shudder.

Then there are other dreams ... dreams with murder. Death. What do they mean?

My dreams tend to have a similar occurrence IRL so this is urgent!

maybe your mind is telling you something. I have had the same thing happen to me before. Dreams that felt so real and then they happen later on. Lets hope that some of the bad dreams I have had about my boyfriend aren't true.

Its a good idea to get a dream translation book. they're based on studies of symbols that appear in many people's dreams although i think its also important to think about what has been going in your life recently and things that were on your mind. Its amazing when you can trace the parts of your dreams to all the different things that happened in the last week

I used to have lots of nightmares about earthquakes and cyclones and whatnot unitl my parent told me that we dont get those here in australia. For me these natural disaster we embodiments of my fears...also I had seen the movie 'twister' just recently and it had freaked me out. :P

im my dream book death is said to indicate a possibiliy of change in one's own life of that of people around. This can be a challenge that we must face or to adjust our approach to life and to accept that there can be a new beginning if we have courage.
If it was you that dies in the dream the book says that can be us exploring our feeling about death or other people's feelings about us.
In the way of murder tho it says that we may be denying or trying to control a part of our own nature that we do not trust. If you are the murderer it could be some childhood anger that you carry. also you need to work out what the victim represent to you.

I hope that helps :)

I had a pretty creepy dream a little while ago. Maybe you could help me interpret it:

I was sitting in my room, reading. Something scared me (I don't remember what), and I jumped up and ran into the hall. Except it wasn't our hallway: the walls were white, there were fluorescent lights, and the carpet was replaced by white linoleum. Also, there weren't any doors on the walls. I took off running. For a few minutes, it was all silent. And then I began to hear this pattering, scratching noise. Out of the corners of my eyes, I began to see these hands clawing at the walls, always keeping directly in place with me. And the hands were blackened and charred, as if they were in a fire. The fingers were incredibly long, and whenever they lifted off the wall, they left streaks of blood. Finally, I was able to pull ahead, and I noticed that the hall turned. I quickly ran around the bend to hide and saw a cute boy sitting cross-legged across the hall from me with his hands behind his back. I asked him if he'd escaped too, and in answer, he held his hands up, and they were exactly like the ones that had been chasing me.

Any idea what this means? XD Kind of weird, I know.

omg that's creepy! Maybe something in life made you feel trapped. Like you felt different and afraid about it.

About five days ago, I had a dream where the world almost came to an end. Asia was entirely flooded be the ocean except for a few parts. Parts of Europe and South America were, and Austrailia was completely gone. I was looking at a map, and this was the key that my mind invented:
Normal Bleu: Gone
Dark Green: 25 ft. under sea level
Light Green: 10 ft. under sea level
Yellow: Flooded

Creepy, huh? The US was completely unaffected, as was Canada and Mexico... :?

I've had MANY dreams about Tornadoes, a lot about Zombies, and a few recurring ones about some other weird shtuff. Yet...I don't know their meanings. So I feel your pain.

Iv'e had some weird dreams before....

Like for the past 5 or 6 years, Iv'e been having a recurring dream about the day I was born. My mom doesn't have a twin sister, but in the dream, she has one, and her twin gives birth to me, dies, and gives me to my mom to take care of. It's so weird...

Another weird one I had recently was that I was running home from school with ripped up clothes and the sky was blackish yellowish, the wind was VERY strong and people around me were being blown away. Suddenly, Balls of fire randomly began showering the earth. There is a hill right in front of my house when I get home from school, and I watched a tornado destroy my house. I was then hit by one of the balls of fire in the face.

Then it was over.

I think I dreamt the end of the world or something, but it was CREEPY.

About your natural disaster dreams, It's likely it has something to do with a current natural disaster in the world.

It most likely means that these are things that you are scared of, not things that are going to happen. The most common emotion expressed in dreams is anxiety, and vivid dreams don't mean anything besides that you have an active mind. So don't worry about it. :)
