I've been watching a lot of episodic animes recently and really enjoy them. However, other people don't really seem to. Many people either don't like the fact that each episode has different characters except for a few mains, or in the case of some animes, find them repetitive because each episode follows a similar formula. For some reason I feel that most of the characters changing each episode forms a closer bond with the main characters because they are the ones that stay through the whole story and I actually really like repetitive aspects in anime because it makes the show feel very familiar to me very quickly. I get nervous that the show will change if the common formula is broken for an episode while it seems most people look forward to this since it means more plot clues will be given and they generally want change after many similar episodes. I'm also just someone who gets lost quickly with very complicated plots that are added onto with each episode. I just feel like very few people agree with me on this and my friends all have really different tastes in anime than I do so I never have anyone to watch anime with.
