I took my dog outside to play and I was trying to get the toy from him and he will paw at you while you're trying to do that and he has long claws that I keep trying to get my dad to cut and so I reached down to grab the ball and he hit me with his paw. When I looked down I had a cut and it was bleeding.

I'm pretty good with animals, and most dogs like me. :3
My dog's good with no one basically. He's absolutely ferocious, and he was like that when we got him.
His hobbies include catching cockroaches and pulling their legs off one by one and then presenting the body in my slipper (like he did this morning...)
What's annoying? Paying for a custom avatar and then having someone saying it's COMMON. :x

EDIT: Mistyped... it's coloured.

Exactly. I had two cats from when I was about seven that we had to get rid of two days after because my mother is allergic to male tabbies. During these two days, my mom recorded me playing with the cats. I watched the video a few weeks ago, and goodness, I abused those poor cats so much. XD I've obviously learned how to handle and take care of pets, but I didn't know how rough I was being at that age. Some kids know; others simply do not.

While we're on the subject of Petsmart dog annoyances, I have a rant. My dog sometimes goes to the vet in Petsmart and got groomed there once. My dog is the friendliest dog that you could ever wish to meet, but she's afraid of other dogs. While my older cousin and I were walking around some shelves to get to my mother that was at the vet's waiting benches, this huge black lab comes along on a two-inch-thick harness. The owner let the lab sniff my dog and loosened the leash so that it could come closer. My dog was cowering at my legs while this dog that was three times her size was sniffing and walking around her. Did the owner not notice that there was a problem? She obviously didn't, because my cousin had to distract the dog by petting it so that my dog and I could walk away, unharmed.

Dog owners should really be more responsible, and they should at least know what a dog's actions mean.

When we were camping I took my old dog walking a lot. And my cat was always mean to him so in his later years he thought that small dogs were cats so he was afraid of them. I cannot count how many owners let their little dogs come up to him. Seriously? He's old and afraid! And he's partially deaf for that matter! Give the old dog a break!

Oh how I miss my dog. <3

Pfft, I saw that post and the "strangle ray" comment (whatever the eff that is.)

I'm kind of used to people on those avatar rating threads marking down those with icons I made because they see it all over the place. Really doesn't bother me much. As long as the customer is happy, I'm happy.

Comanche wrote:On the other end of the spectrum are the people who just come barreling up to your dog, petting it without you giving them any permission whatsoever. My dog is extremely shy, and it has set him back weeks in training because I'll try to take him to the store for socialization and I have a kid run directly toward him and try to grab him. First of all, where on earth are their parents? Oh, right, standing a ways off smiling as if this is cute. No, your child is not being cute, he is making an anxious dog even more scared, and you should be glad my dog is one of the few without any fear aggression, because I've seen dogs that would bite someone's face off if they did that. Second, that is not how you approach any dog. If I give someone permission to pet my dogs, I expect them to do it correctly - slowly and gently, with no sudden moves. Third, the permission itself - dogs are not public property, and you do not know them as well as the person handling them, so please ask before petting them - some dogs simply do not like being touched by strangers or at all.

[/end Petsmart rant of the day]

We have little dogs (Miniature Dachshund at 9 pounds fullgrown and a Chihuahua mix at about 11 pounds,) and they HATE strangers. Hate them with every fiber of their little beings. The miniature dachshund will leap back, snarl, bark, snap, and sometimes even try to bite if a kid comes barreling down on it. The chihuahua mix will hide behind one of us. And the parents get pissy at us for having "mean dogs."

I'm keeping my dogs on a leash under control. You're the one who let your larva loose without teaching them proper dog etiquette. Not every dog loves kids, and when your kids piss our dogs off and they get snarly, your maggot deserves it.

^This

We usually don't take my dog anywhere with us, because she has such horrible fear aggression. She really doesn't like strangers at all; she even got kicked out of the local dog park when she was only six months because she scared a couple of little kids. But today, I had to go pick my sister up from her friend's house down the street. I figured it would be alright to take my dog, since nobody was outside. All of a sudden, this random three-year-old whom I've never seen before comes running up to her yelling "Goggie!" (I'll admit, it was kinda cute) and she comes up, and practically jumps on my dog's back and yanks on her fur. Her mom is standing about thirty feet away, smiling at her child, not even noticing the fact that the dog is barking incessantly, and I have her on a three inch leash trying to keep the three year old away from my dog.
I mean, I figured we would be alright, because my dog knows and gets along with everyone in the neighborhood, and these wo show up out of nowhere and practically attack my dog without asking to pet her first? Shouldn't the mom know better than to stand there while her daughter is two feet away from a barking dog?
Yes, this looks huggable, but really, she is not.

My dog, Scooter, who is no longer alive, suffered from fearful agression. Except his "fear" was that someone would hurt me. It was only dog aggression, however, as he loved children. The main thing that set him off was a golden retriever in training class. Not only did that dog sneakily throw silent growls, (lip curling and glares) at him, the owner believed that my dog was attacking her pooch. If I had a choice I'd throw both of them nob heads in a river with cement blocks tied to their feet. It really peeves me. Of course, then my Scooter and I would walk through and it would be like freaking parting the red sea. Everyone thought that Scooter would attack them. He was a good dog and did not deserve to die before his time. HOWEVER, a few of them air heads at that dog training place might as well "trip" off a bridge. -.-*

-shot-

Some more ranting? Why not..

That same dog I am talking about was killed by a truck, in our own yard. But, not our own truck. The "culligan man" was the one who decided that he might as well not notice a red dog running across a plainly colored yard. This dog was street smart, it's not like he'd run infront of the truck. But not only did he kill my goose, he didn't even appologize. My parents made him leave after all of that. Plus, he didn't even install our water filter right. By all means, I will forever boycott the "Culligan" water services. I don't care if they all aren't like that, if one is, they might as well all be.

Also, on page with that don't pet a strangers dog thing. I have a decendent of Scooter who is named Jelly. She is part Border Collie and part PW Corgi. (Scooter was a Pembroke Welsh (PW) Corgi.) There is this one little girl in my training class who decides she can, when I am in the middle of training with my dog, drop the leash to her beagle (who is quite untrained and has an affinity for following his nose), and glomp all over my dog. Jelly loves people, just like her sire, but it really makes me quite angered when I have to stop what I'm doing because some mother won't peel her daughter of of my freaking dog.

That will be all. [/rant]
I am looking to trade away all my CS pets for Art, PM me if you are interested. I'm really only looking for more advanced artists. Include examples of your work please. :3
