Ugh that annoys the crap out of me. And it's why I have to laugh when people say x-breed would never hurt a fly. I had an obviously fighting bred (big and bulky instead of the regular standard) Staffie get pretty aggressive on me once and even snapped his lead, because the owner had been careless. Thankfully he just made out to be really intimidating and didn't get any farther before the owner got him under control, but it was pretty scary. I was more scared for my dog, really, since, as I said, he wouldn't even try to defend himself when it came to something that like, I'm sure. :/
Again, training and socialization are the key, but stupid people ruin it for everyone.
