Well, then maybe I'm just not watching the right programs because I just haven't seen any shows that make British people posh or snooty, or anything like what your saying.

Well lol obviously but I wasn't going to get into the regional diversity within each country when most people have yet to distinguish the whole countries from each other. Not to mention the fact that typically there is no 'American accent' either what with all THEIR regional differences, but you can't really expect anyone from outside a country to know those differences...I wouldn't expect an American to know about Mancunian, Brummie, Geordie, Cockney, RP, Estuary etc accents, whereas I think knowing the differences between the five countries is reasonable. P: (I'm from Hampshire too btw, woo!)
