Thanks for that post.
Being in disagreement doesn't mean someone doesn't know their information.
It doesn't mean they're "misinformed" or "uneducated".
Or that they "don't know what they're talking about".
Every person that tries to argue with me about anything tells me I don't know what I'm talking about.
At least two thirds of them quote Wikipedia as their source.
Because obviously Wikipedia is
so reliable
My favorite stupidity line was "You can't use your personal experiences to argue your point"
Um...if the personal experience has everything to do with what you're arguing about, yes I very well
can use it to argue my point.
If I'm arguing about habitat destruction and people killing wild animals, I certainly can recount being personal witness to seeing an entire old growth forest having been clear-cut and littered with the corpses of animals mutilated and crushed by logging equipment as fact of what sort of destruction people cause
Because, guess what? Those internet sources of actual, legit information?
Well whaddya know, that was all put up their by
someone's personal experience.
But nope, you can't use "experience" as "fact"!
Well then I guess I can just go out on a limb here and point out that there is no such thing as "facts" then because all those websites that give you those "facts" were personal experiences which means they're all invalid
