they're like the coloured rubber bands?? except they're connected together into one to smoosh all the teeth together and close gaps
if you don't have gaps in your teeth you probably won't need them

I am so terrified that one of these dentist visits they'll be like, "Well, braces time," and I will go home and sob so hard. Because everybody's done with braces forever ago and I'll just be wearing them until freaking college ugh. One of those fears that actually makes sense.
